Some powerful words. This woman should run for president.

Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it!
This is one ticked-off lady.

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?
Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?
Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia ..

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion byhiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care !!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great Country! And may I add: "Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem" -- Ronald Reagan

I have another quote that I would like to add AND.......I hope you forward all this. "If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under." Also by .. Ronald Reagan

One last thought for the day: In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said: "A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out."

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G.I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

YOU MIGHT WANT TO PASS THIS ON, AS MANY SEEM TO FORGET BOTH
OF THEM. AMEN!

That is so powerful! Thank's for sharing. It is a shame that some people din't feel this way, especially some of the Presidential canadates.

Yeah even if it turns out some NJ house wife did not say it, someone did :boxing:

and It all seems like common sense, in a not so sensible world

you read it and go Duh  WTF why cannot everyone see this instead of the PC crap seeping deeper and deeper into American Minds

it's because some of the people want to get fooled all of the time and believe that "yes we can" (sic) change the world. These people should grow up and realize that there are those who want to change the world too, but not in the fashion that these misguided ones are ready to pay the price for (and unfortunately get the rest of us involved in their stupidity). I know I was that way once, but as it is said there are no aethiests in foxholes, there are no pacifists when your life is in someone else's LOS.

How not to fight a war on terror....

Start by not lumping every muslim together with UBL.

And don't chuck the Constitution just because you want to sacrifice a little bit of safety.

Yes forestal, you are ignorant, but thankfully not powerfull.

Nothing in the "email" lumped every muslim together, that was just your lack of reading comprehension or more likely, your pathetic attempt at spin.

The Contistution wasn't "chucked", and as always, you are 180 out saying we want to sacrifice a bit of safety.

Go peddle your :bs: in Saudi.

Wow, I can only theorize that the Republican party thinks All Americans are stupid and they have to send out this crap to try and drum up support for a failed war on terror that has left the taliban, and Usama Bin laden still around, and created a blood draining, deficit spending, never ending occupation of Iraq.

I don't know who wrote it but they should have signed it.

No it was not started by Islamic people. It was started by a handful of religious fanatics, and every religion has them.

Yep, lost nearly three thousand. I wonder if the Iraqis who have lost a couple hundred thousand to this ill planned "war on terror" feel about losing a hundred times as many to a country led by a jesus freak.
And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don't. I don't care at all.
Maybe you should care that we torture our prisoners to death now, and forget about the Koran.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
That's not going to happen, and don't wait on Bush to find him either.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia ..
Hey, what a great way to recruit new terrorists, purposely disrespect another people's culture...
I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
You keep talking about 'care'. It's obvious you only care about killing all muslims where they stand.
I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion byhiding in mosques.
They aren't cowardly, and they aren't stupid. They can't fight us with conventional weapons. They adapt, they improvise. They are willing to sacrifice themselves for even the chance at killing an American. They have killed nearly 4000 of our soldiers in Iraq, made us spent billions of dollars we don' t have, and bogged us down in a war we can't win.
I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.
More maudlin crap.
I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.
You don't seem to want the protection of the Constitution to extend to anyone. Why not go to Iran where you can leave free without any encumbering secular Constitution?
In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.
Do you care that we've tortured innocent muslims to death in the quest to find information and by doing so recruited another hundred fanatics who want to blow us up?
When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.
You listen to too much Rush Limbaugh. agonizing, painful stress positions and water torture that have resulted in death, are not college hazing incidents.
When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.
That's right, killem all, let gawd sort them out. Please enlist, Uncle Sam needs all his cannon fodder for Iraq.
When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.
Still working on creating a new terrorist base of sympathizers because you don't know how to treat your prisoners do you?
And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care !!
You have no exposure to culture besides your own, and you aren't even curious about other peoples. You are stupid. They only spell Koran one way, in arabic, not in english. It's your fellow countrymen who can't decide how to spell the name of a holy book.
If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behavior!
I have a better idea: i'll explain why you are an idiot.
I have another quote that I would like to add AND.......I hope you forward all this. "If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under." Also by .. Ronald Reagan
Despite what Ronnie Raygun said, our framers wisely chose a secular form of government. That means religious freedom for everyone, even those who aren't Christians like you.
Hundred of thousands of refugees have left Iraq as a result of our meddling. That should give you a good idea of the mess we've created.

Are you seriously stating that people who have a different opinion of you are stupid and ignorant? Wow the idiocy has no bounds. We are supposed to be working with the Iraqi's to help stabilize their country. Disrespecting their culture and saying basically that they are less than human is asinine, and undoes all the hard work our boys in uniform do. We are better than them why? Because everyone here has electricity and we have all of our convinces near by? Does that seriously make them less than human? Seriously? The ones that attacked us were fanatics are are DENOUNCED and outed as long as we treat the Iraqi's with respect. But this doesn't matter, you have already made you mind up about the whole situation, and nothing can deter you from dehumanizing YOUR enemy.

I would live to see Osama's head on a stake... but to say that violations of the Geneva convention were something that no one should care about is breathtakingly ignorant. What if we saw our people, just normal everyday average Americans piled up and dehumanized like that? You would go ape ####.

Anyway... this doesn't matter, your opinion or mine because it's not like you are going to look at facts and change your mind, and neither will I.

Forrest... do you really get shouted out frequently? I thought people could look past the propaganda that they were being fed. Meh. :coffee:

And don't chuck the Constitution just because you want to sacrifice a little bit of safety.

A little bit of safety? You call 3000 people dying in a single event a little bit of safety?

And you don't even use the context of the B. Franklin quote correctly. The quote talks about giving up "a little TEMPORARY safety".

1. For those that died on 911 it was permanent not temporary; we can't allow that to happen again (but Lord knows you appear to want it happen again to have more ammo to blame on Bush)

2. We are not talking about giving up anything. We are talking about protecting it from those that want to take it away from us. I'm amazed you fear Bush on this more than you fear the likes of al Qaeda.

3. We are not talking about a "little temporary safety", we are talking about national security.

I hope this has helped you with your complete confision of the facts and what our founders meant to tell us. But, somehow, I doubt it.

[/INDENT]so posing hardened combat veterans in their whitey tighties is fatal?

They are willing to sacrifice themselves for even the chance at killing an American.
Personally, I think it's great that they are willing to die for their cause and I'm willing to do what I can so they can continue to die. I'm also grateful that we've managed to keep this war in their back yard instead of in the streets of out cities.

They have killed nearly 4000 of our soldiers in Iraq, made us spent billions of dollars we don' t have, and bogged us down in a war we can't win.
While a little over 3000 of our troops have died, they weren't' all killed by your friends. Just curious as to how you would surrender to a group of terrorists. Would you have them line up and shoot all non Muslim members of congress?

Do you care that we've tortured innocent Muslims to death in the quest to find information and by doing so recruited another hundred fanatics who want to blow us up?
Actually no, I don't care if we cause discomfort to someone that wants me dead. Again, how many of the murderers detained by our troops have died?

Still working on creating a new terrorist base of sympathizers because you don't know how to treat your prisoners do you?
Are you saying we should follow their example and just video tape them having their throats slashed and let it be known that this is the fate of all who disagree with us?

Hundred of thousands of refugees have left Iraq as a result of our meddling. That should give you a good idea of the mess we've created

I'm guessing that the author of this tripe is one of the dumb americans that this article is the subject of...

The Dumbing Of America - washingtonpost.com
People accustomed to hearing their president explain complicated policy choices by snapping "I'm the decider" may find it almost impossible to imagine the pains that Franklin D. Roosevelt took, in the grim months after Pearl Harbor, to explain why U.S. armed forces were suffering one defeat after another in the Pacific. In February 1942, Roosevelt urged Americans to spread out a map during his radio "fireside chat" so that they might better understand the geography of battle. In stores throughout the country, maps sold out; about 80 percent of American adults tuned in to hear the president. FDR had told his speechwriters that he was certain that if Americans understood the immensity of the distances over which supplies had to travel to the armed forces, "they can take any kind of bad news right on the chin."
.......
That leads us to the third and final factor behind the new American dumbness: not lack of knowledge per se but arrogance about that lack of knowledge. The problem is not just the things we do not know (consider the one in five American adults who, according to the National Science Foundation, thinks the sun revolves around the Earth); it's the alarming number of Americans who have smugly concluded that they do not need to know such things in the first place.

Interesting analogy. Thousands dead, more dying every day, an enemy determined to subjugate us and NOBODY WANTED TO SURRENDER!!!
