St Marys. Loveville had my granddaughter perform 3 maneuvers ... pull into space forward, back into space, and a 3 point turn. Thats it, she has a license.
I heard about that. I meant the behind the wheel part of Driver's Ed. I just saw the fine print when I signed my youngest up for the classroom part that behind the wheel will happen as each person finishes the classroom part. CSM will notify us when son can take it. His class starts in January so hopefully the driving part won't be until March when there is less chance of snow/ice.

Youngest started the classroom portion of Driver's Ed this week and had to "attend" Orientation on Tuesday. The teacher commented on how the driving test is now conducted due to Covid and that he thinks it's terrible and that it just shows that new drivers practiced those 3 maneuvers over and over again but doesn't show that they can really drive.

Well the kids will be stupid because of distance learning and Covid and they won't have a clue how to drive because of Covid. (As if the roads weren't bad enough now.)

If most parents had any sense they would have started teaching their kids driving around age 10. Emergency driving procedures and all that. Just like my dad did with me, and I with my kids.

Depends on how well the parents teach the kids when they are out practicing. My husband is very hard on our boys when they were/are learning how to drive. It has paid off with my oldest so I am hoping it will do the same for the youngest.

My daughter showed absolutely no interest in getting her license until she decided to get a job when she was about 20. My son was driving my truck around a friend's farm as soon as he could reach the pedals and see over the dash.
