Arizona Pizza

We went Wednesday at 4:30 party of 6. Florentine pizza is outstanding. Cheeseburger tacos and grilled chicken sandwich got high marks. Mozarella rounds were quite good. BBQ wings were excellent. Very attentive service. We were out by 5:20 and there were loads of folks waiting to be seated.

Until the novelty wears off, I'd suggest going on off hours, making reservations (if they take them, not sure), or going when you're in no real hurry.

Lunchtime on Friday had a 25 min wait. I called at 400 for takeout and she said it'd be an hr. I got it at 445. Sandwiches were good. I'll wait for the novelty to wear off before I go back though.

I stand by my original quote. The pizza sucked. All three of them.

Nothing to see here
Still waiting to hear from Nomo, if the dumpster is full of half eaten pizzas, its probably not starting off well.

Went tonight after basketball. 50 minute wait. Excellent gorgonzola salad. 2 of our party split the chicken pizza and a burger - both fantastic. Boy 1 had a personal cheesesteak pizza but only rated it as equal to Dominos. Tonight tried the desserts - cheesecake and a chocolate cake. High marks for the chocolate cake - cheesecake was soso.

Hostess said in the future call ahead, find out the wait, and have your name placed on the list to be there by the quoted time. That way when you walk in you'll be seated within 5 minutes.

Note that parties larger than 4 take longer to seat as those spaces are limited. Also there are only 12 tv booths. Requesting one may delay your seating.

Went tonight...called ahead, and STILL waited 20 minutes and it really didn't seem that busy
TWO items on the order were forgotten (not ordered or picked up?) one meal didn't arrive until well AFTER she offered to bring the check so we got it to go because he had eaten his kids chicken strips in the mean time, and the wait was lengthy for food ordered that did arrive. Mine was luke warm when it arrived, but DELICIOUS none the less, i'd order it again. Kids got cheesecake which was good. French Onion oup was REALLY good. Rottncop had a meat lovers calzone, not big enough for him, but he had enough of my leftovers to fill up. End of my critique

If you go to Monterrey's in San Souci, you'll be seated in 2 seconds and your food is out within 5 minutes of ordering it. :yay:

I've been to arizona pizza a couple of times already and the food (especially the pizza) and atmosphere was great! Servers are very nice and attentive.

my meal was terrible

I was so excited to arrive at Arizona pizza. The atmosphere was terrific. However, the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered the pasta with shrimp and a garlic/olive oil sauce (yuck). The pasta was stuck together and the sauce was nothing more than straight olive oil. I had to add tons of cheese just to give it some flavor. It had absolutely no taste. I suppose one of the sixteen year old waitstaff made my meal. I may try again with a completely different meal once the waitstaff has additional training. For now, it's not worth it. For an adult, it's absolutely terrible.

Went Friday night, around 4:45 PM. Family of four. Told it was a 30 minute wait...ended up waiting an hour and fifteen minutes. Tables keep getting sucked up by the call-aheaders!:bs: Confusion reigned at the hostess stand as there were FIVE girls working the hostess stand and the wait list kept getting messed up until the manager stepped up and took over.

Booths are very cramped, unless you are a runway model. Food came fairly quick and was good. I had the meat lovers calzone and it was great! Food was brought to us by a different waitress (i.e. - came to us as soon as it hit the shelf...didn't wait for our waiter to get it). Attentive service.

Overall, I rate it a B-. I was getting frustrated at the empty tables just sitting there "waiting" for the call-aheaders while a big group of us were waiting....waiting......waiting.....to get seated. One table was empty for 20 minutes! If you go, CALL AHEAD!!! I refuse to go there again unless we call ahead for a table. No last minute decisions to stop by there for dinner...wait isn't worth it.

..Oh yeah...had to laugh at the boneheads who did the call ahead seating, showed up 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled time and were indignant that they were required to wait 30 minutes. The blockhead keep berating the hostess about the situation saying that what good is call ahead seating if he has to wait (like the common people)! Hostess finally stood up for herself and told him that there are other people ahead of him and that if didn't like to wait, he should not show up until his "quoted" time - not 30 minutes early and expect to be seated right away.:smack:

I was there on Saturday with chick and her friend. Arrived about 415 and was seated immediately. Chick ordered Mac & Cheese  and her friend a pepperoni pizza. I ordered a custom pizza with lots of different toppings.

Food was brought out quickly, but they served me the Greek pizza instead. It was very good and when I told the waitress that I had the wrong pizza, she offered to have mine made, I declined since I knew I could not eat all that.

Two minutes later, she was back with my pizza and told me that the other was on the house. :yay:

Both were delish. :yum:
