That sound somewhat "elitist". The people of California are too stupid to make their own choices? Perhaps they should have a "royal family" or a dictatorial Governorship. Better yet, they should make the Govenorship of California a national election and let the whole country choose who governs them since they are incapable.

They are suffering from shortsightedness. They focused so much time on the "hug your buddy" feel good stuff that they ignored the other terrible problems that were swelling. I think they got a little too full of themselves and now they are getting a nice heaping tablespoon of reality.

Mo Udall once said "the *people* have spoken.....the bastards". That's what this sounds like. The Dems are all for the "people", and when the "people" don't go their way, the "people" need to be educated. Sounds like they don't give a crap at all what the people think.
