While liberals tried to destroy our kitchens, they’ve now moved on to leaf blowers. No, I’m not kidding. Leaf blowers and lawnmowers could be the next items on the hit list to save Mother Earth. Another bad idea pitched by people who don’t get that we’re never going to revert to a neo-paleolithic lifestyle (via USA Today):

And to no one’s surprise, the electric equipment to maintain one’s yard is more expensive. To landscapers and those wishing to start similar businesses, expect a three-times increase in the cost to purchase such equipment to comply with these acts of green authoritarianism.

Another aspect of these new local ordinances against efficiency is that they’ve grandfathered in those who already own gas-powered lawnmowers and landscaping equipment, so spare us the saving the planet nonsense. What’s the point? It’s about control and the left being nuisances and busybodies about what we do in our homes. The only exception is when someone gets pregnant. Then, it’s no one’s business, but they should totally be allowed to kill the baby because regulating that is somehow a bridge too far for these tone-deaf, out-of-touch Marxists.

That's amazing - and has to be a totally made up number. It's right about a thousand driving miles from Denver to LA.
If you drove averaging 50mph non-stop in your car, that would take about 20 hours.

Actually, one of my biggest concerns about this idea of all electric is how helpless I'm going to be if the power goes out.
ESPECIALLY if I'm old and feeble.

And in a few parts of this country - that's a common thing, and I can't imagine what it would be like when every damned thing imaginable is running on electricity.

Years ago, I can remember being in New England when the power went out - and there went our furnace.
It was 17 below that night. Thank God for gas stoves, because we hung up blankets around the kitchen egresses and slept on the kitchen floor with the gas stove running continuously.

If we need more propane or gas - we know who to call. When power goes out for days down here, what you HEAR is the sound of gas generators running homes, so their pumps will pump water and their fridges keep their food from spoiling.

No thanks. I'd like to have SOME control over things.

I think what they are measuring is very specific toxins - which ICE probably don't emit hardly at all.
