At what age?

The truth will set us all free.

I'm debating whether or not to tell my son about Santa. I think I want him to know the truth, but still enjoy the spirit of it. What do ya'll think?
 It really depends on your personal and your family values.

Do you value the truth? or not? I value truth.

Is it fun to lie to children? or not? It is not fun for me.

Do children deserve to be told the truth? or not? Yes children deserve the truth.

Does your family betray the children's trust? or not? It is time to stop that.

Is the Santa story a big fat lie? or not? It is a big fat lie.

Does: "Do not bare false witness" apply to children too? or not? Lying to children is sinning.

Are you going to promote lies? or tell the truth? I say to tell the truth.

What would Jesus want done? or not done?

I dont think parents should spoil their childrens beliefs. I was not upset when i found out there was no santa. I went to my mother in the summer before i was 10 and asked. She told me no there was not santa, but i could never say anything becasue of my brothers and sisters. It was awsome making Christmas special for them by playing along and watching their faces when they saw santa and thought he was real. I hope my children belive for as long as possible. I am not goint to burst their bubble.:)

We never had Santa as a child, however, I always believed he was real. I don't have children, but my dog always gets a present from Santa.

:buddies: This is one of the few times that I do not follow through and look at a person's link,

because it is slow loading and it surely must be a virus or something ugly on his link so I suggest that no one look at it.

This poster often puts profanity and nasty stuff onto this Forum.:howdy:

Actually, its quite cute.

You looked at it, and you are embarassed, aren't you Jimmy? You don't want others to see the real Jimmy, so you hide behind accusations of virus, ugliness, profanity, and nastiness.

In a way, you are right. It is ugly and nasty, and its leeching on society is quite profane. And it wishes it could infect people like a virus, but it is a sad pathetic old drunk who can't even influence his own family, much less anyone else.

:buddies: I suppose I have built up a distrust of that "Dad" as he gets very vulgar in many of his postings.

So even "cute" by his standard could be disgusting by mine.

Is it fit for children viewing this Board?

Vulgar would be bragging about a son getting away with a DUI. Vulgar would be encouraging deadbeats not to support their children. Vulgar would be denying I was indicted, then blaming it on my own child who was 7 at the time. I've never done any of those things.

Who has?
