Atlanta Motel 6 turned away a young U.S. Army soldier

Its amazing how you can take two sides of an issue in the same reply. On one hand you agree with the under 21 as a means to limit underage room parties by younger military members...then on the other say underage military members should be exempted from the law.

They're called "orders." You print out a set of orders, you show them to the hotel/motel, they give you a key and you bed down for the night.

If you're underage and you don't have orders, tough tittie. You find a bus station or a park bench for the night.

Funny how you have the right to vote and die for your country when you turn 18 but don't have the right to buy a beer, rent a car of get a hotel room.

If people are smart enough when they turn 18 to determine who can be elected of political office and put their ass on the line for their country, why can't they be smart enough to rent a car, get a room, and have a beer?

Instead of restricting someone's ability to do something when they turn 18, hold them accountable like everyone else.

Renting a hotel room, or a car is a privilege and not a right. One could argue buying a beer is also, but the states regulate that so the ability to buy a beer is a right.

I doubt many 18 year olds have a credit card with enough of a limit to cover damages that they could do to a motel room or a rental car. The one thing talked about here is the right to refuse anyone service.

Sorry, should have said privilege, I keep getting confused since liberals like to say everything is a right.

In my opinion a military ID should trump any age restrictive laws. Drink, rent a car, get a motel room, whatever. If you are mature enough to be sent to a foreign country and trusted with weapons, you're an adult and should be treated as such.

Thank you. That is what I said. It is always good to have the blessing of the Queen of SOMD. But, actually, I think you could run things a lot better than most of the idiots we have elected! Not sucking up. It is just the truth.

Maybe you should disconnect your 'mamatutu just posted' alarm. There is no other explanation. I would be so happy, if for once, you would add your opinion to a conversation, instead of just being an ass hole.

Now THERE is a recruiting campaign that can't miss!

Like 'everyone else'???? Like who? Who gets held accountable in this country? Bankers and insurers who've built empires that are no different than Bernie Maddofs other than they own enough politicians to do as they please and get away with it? Car companies that can be bailed out when they screw up? You think GM, as a company, is going to pay for choosing, CHOOSING to not fix the ignition switch issue because it would 'cost too much'? Bill Clinton lied to our faces. He got two terms. In the White House. Pat Tillman got killed by friendly fire and the army covered it up. Anyone pay for that? Benghazi, one of the most laughable, bold faced lies of all time? You can keep your insurance? The Kennedy's came to power on boot leg liquor money. A great many family empires were built in the US on criminal gain. Every time someone drugged up on psychiatric chemicals mows a bunch of people down, we want to execute a gun or some other inanimate object, or, at least ban it. Corporations, on the one hand, want cheap, illegal labor and could care less about unemployed US citizens. Our 'war on drugs' is ALL about reaping the profits of prohibition be it lawyers, corrupt cops, the jail system, corrupt judges, you name it. One of the primary things we did with 18 year olds was protect oil sheiks and the heroin trade.

Unless they're gay. Maybe he should have flipped that card.

Just ignore him, he's another who has MDS (Mamatutu Derangement Syndrome). People like him should be ignored, they are nothing more then mouth breathers, window lickers who take pleasure in degrading others.

Serious. They could at least wait until she does something to be disparaged over.

My point exactly, they go bat chit crazy over ever posting, no matter the content.

A lot of them don't have anything of substance to post, rarely, if ever contribute to the conversation, and generally stick to snarky, snide, or rude comments. If they have brains, they're afraid to use them.

Of all the posters on this forum, you are the one individual who's keeping track of who posts about man-ass and how frequently. Then, after the priapism fades, you post about it. You are really a queer bird to be accusing others.
