Not sure if anyone noticed this yet, but why would someone go through the time and trouble of scratching off the name of the owner on a tag when it is just takes half a second to take the tag or collar off and throw it away?
Sounds fishy.

Well I see alot of dogs and collars..some pups and dogs chew on their own tags and make them unreadable..also if she was attacked maybe the attacker chewed the collar trying to kill the dog...very sad..
