Audio Books - listened to any good ones lately?

I listened to "the art of racing in the rain"; skip the first chapter (dog is on his deathbed), but the rest of the book is good to listen to, lots of humor, from the dogs point of view. Also Demi Moore's bio - read by her, it makes it real. Good listening. Just goes to show you have have money, looks, and still feel lonely and isolated. Also listened to "Unfck yourself", funny, and good bits of advice, everybody could use a little "unFcking". Also read, "good riddance", about a woman who finds her deceased mothers yearbook from when she was a teacher, and finds out all kinds of dirt. Full of humor and kept me interested.

I like listening to them during my workouts. Anybody have any good ones they've listened to? I still like reading, and the smell of a new book....but i'm really getting into audio. Never got into reading from a kindle or notebook. I still prefer books.

I have an Audible subscription! I love it however I need to cancel it or pause it again bc I have more books than I can listen to at the moment and what little precious time I currently have is about to be replaced by a newborn  But in the past 6 months I've listened to:

Twain's Feast narrated by Nick Offerman (I'll listen to anything he reads...he's the grouchy guy from Parks and Rec) a good discussion/documentary about Mark Twain's works and how some of them relate to food at that time

Bedtime Stories for Cynics - again, Nick Offerman and various comedians

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

The Potlikker Papers - a people's history of Southern food and some politics and how it's come to be where it is today. (I like food history 😋 )

Currently listening to the Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo

A couple of these are from Reese Witherspoon's new book club...I've read several, thru audio AND on paper and have yet to be disappointed by any of her picks. Similar to like Oprah's book club except I find her picks to have a little more depth and character, also not every one of them is fiction.

My most recent book is "Why Meadow Died" by Max Eden & Hunter Pollack about the Parkland HS shooter. Before that was "Leaders Eat Last" by Simon Sinek.
