Doin the duty for you....
Can anyone recommend a good body shop in the area. Some Dumba$$ gave me a really good door ding this weekend down at the race in Darlington and I need to get it fixed. Its about 1 1/2 inch scratch down to the paint. Any info would be great!! Thanks!!

Coach Craft on Hollywood/Leonardtown Road. 475-2215.

I have used Coach Craft a couple of times and have seen very good results from their work. On one occasion, they were able to pop a fender dent (it was on a crease) and it didn't require any filler, sanding or paint. A real life-saver when you're talking about red paint that is about ten years old....

I have wrecked my truck 3 times and have taken it to PJ's all 3 times to have it fixed. They work with any insurance company. They are across from Doyle's carpet on Route 5 in Great Mills. 301-994-3233

I always use Chesapeake Collsion in Huntingtown at the end of Plum Point Road. I'm really good friends with all the guys there and they do pretty great work.

I went there today to have Raspberry #1's estimate done. $700 to get it back to new. :bawl: Luckily the neighbor has to pay for it.

Hunt Ford-Mercury in La Plata has one of the best body shops I've seen. They did a great job on my Mustang after a deer and Huricanne Isabele.

AVOID George's Autobody if its something you want to get done fairly soon. I was rear ended April 4th on the beltway and luckily the only thing that happened was an imprint of the license plate on the bumper. This required a new bumper which had to be ordered and painted. On the flip side I had to call them several times to see if the part was ordered, if the part was painted, if they were ready for me to drop the car off and when the car was done.

At one point they had the part and said they were going to paint it. I asked if I needed to bring in the car so they could get the color code they said no. A week later I called back and asked if the part had been painted and they said no and wanted to know why I didnt bring the car in so they could get the color code. The part was painted and they told me they would call when I could drop the car off, they didnt call so I called them a week later (friday) and they said it had been painted on Monday. So I finally dropped it off last Monday and it was finished by the end of the day Tuesday, but they didnt call me so I picked it up Wednesday morning (after calling to see if it was finished).

So what could have taken maybe 2 weeks to finish from the time of the accident took just under a month. The new bumper and paint job look great though. They arent very organized in the lobby office, but I was satisified with the final result.

Chesapeake Collision in Huntingtown does excellent work without a doubt!!! Coach Craft does crappy work. If you'd like to see proof, come to my house and I will show you a vehicle of mine they worked on. Never again! They were one of Allstate's preferred body shops, but they dropped them like a hot potato.

Thanks, maybe I could send that link to the people who hit me. I think I have a sign that says "Hey Mr./Mrs. please hit my car"

Since someone didn't like my answer, I'll expand on it.

Someone recommended Georges Autobody to me however, I did not know it was not the one in LP. They were to fix a few very minor but ugly scratches in the front bumper and I didn't want the bumper removed to fix it. The owners son agreed and they were to have it done late, the following day. When I came back, the owner convinced me to have the bumper removed to do a proper job and his people were all certified and the best in the business. I reluctantly agreed to do it his way. Several days later I came back and the car was apart and in the back lot with damage to the hood and right front fender caused from removing the bumper. I was far beyond pizzed. When the car was finally finished, it was a first class job but my last visit to Georges.
