MMDad and Andy believe, because they are crappy drivers and accident prone that the rest of us are too.

Here's the question. When was the last time you made an Auto Insurance claim?

It doesn't matter if it was to pay for damages you caused to someone else's vehicle or damages to your own vehicle.

This dude rear ended me (I didn't like btw.)at the light by Outback a few years ago when I got my new Honda Accord. Of course I'm going to file a claim.

My husband's car is an accident magnet, it's been hydroplaned and crashed into a sign, rear ended, not fixed properly because State Farm is cheap and the axle broke while going 55 mph, backed into at the end of our driveway by a neighbor(still waiting for them to pay for it or else I'm going to claim that too), a punk threw a rock through the back window, the brakes were not replaced properly and wore out the rotars and other mechanical thingies, the seat cushions and fabric are tearing away from the seat frames... anyone wanna guess how old the car is????? BARELY 4 years old! Stay away from a blue Mazda 6 or the curse will get you too! I hate that car, we traded MY BABY for that peice, sweet Acura Integra GS-R, fire/cherry red black leather interior 5-speed, :(
Anyway, that's what insurance is for...I'm not going to pay monthly for something only to not use it when I need it because it might go up a couple of dollars a month, by that time some other discount will be counted in or the car gets re-classified or the driver, etc...

 Freakin' mouth breather. It's been 25 years since I was in an accident of any kind. But I have made glass claims against my insurance. Why have insurance if you aren't going to use it?

Since you are perfect, do you carry anything more than the minimum required by law? Why? It's obviously a waste since accidents never happen to geniuses like you.

What love is all about
Last claim was May of last year. Hubby had an accident. Other than that we have had a few claims since we have been married but all of them were no fault.

Blah.. Blah...Blah
I just got my insurance bill. Went up from 221 to 265 a quarter. I called my insurance company to find out why such a big increase. I was told that I live in a high auto claim area. I listen to the scanner at work. There has to be at least five accidents a day. :burning:

I've only filed two in my entire time driving.
One - I slid into someone on ice, and I was going a whopping 5 mph when impact occured, but it was enough to dent their fender. ( I was like 20 yrs old then)
Two - someone smashed my drivers side window to steal something out of my car.

That's not good considering how many areas around here could probably qualify for that "label"!

Someone ran a red light and hit my wife's car. Of course, he got the ticket and our vehicle was totaled.

I haven't filed a claim since May 2000. At that point I was rear ended at 70 MPH by a negligent older male driver. My boyfriend was driving my car, and traffic was going slow to avoid this gianormous boulder which was rolling alongside the road (obviously fallen off a construction vehicle). Traffic was going about 30 MPH. The car two cars ahead of us went down in to the ditch and back up to avoid the rock. The car directly in front of us sped past it, causing a draft and causing the rock to "merge" with traffic. We hit the brake to about 20 MPH in an attempt to dodge the rock. At that time, the idiot driving a truck behind me rear ended us and we launched about 200 feet, hitting the rock in the process. Because we were in the process of stopping, we hit pavement, bounced and launched 200 feet, and came back down. I had a lime green car at the time, so I'm sure we looked like a frog :lmao: Both the driver's and passenger's seats were broken. The only thing holding the driver's seat in were the electric wires for the power seat. It bent the axle, making the car undriveable.

I filed the claim with both insurance companies, though his was ultimately responsible because he was 100% at fault.

Well the survey didnt ask what type of claim they filed numbnuts :duh:

There is a difference...Comprehensive ( hail, glass, hitting a deer, fire, theft, etc) are no fault claims and do not effect your premium or driving record at all.

How do you figure? Having filed a claim does not mean that one is a crappy driver. In the case I mentioned, my wife was hit by someone who ran a red light. We still had to file a claim even though the red light runner was at fault.
