Who do you have? Why do you like them?

Do you use an online servicer or do you have an agent here that you like.
I am in Calvert.

TIA.

I have Nationwide, have the cars, the trailer, the house and life with them.

so far in over 20 years I have only one complaint and that is from their new agent missing screwing up paperwork and leaving my new truck uninsured for a couple weeks after I bought it.

Geico........best plan for me.
Geico wouldnt take me last year.
I have not had a ticket since 1981, I have never had an accident my fault, same with Pan Lady.
however, we had this on the record.
16 year old boy pulled an illegal uturn across a double yellow and drove into the side of my lincoln.
87 year old man lost control of his car on 95 in Carolinia and ended up taking the side off of Pan Ladies car

They claimed that they would have to put us high risk because of these no fault on our part accidents.

now, they keep calling us trying to get us to go with them, I wont do it.
My driving record has not changed, so I dont see how I can be any safer now than I was then.

Screw Geico.

Screw Geico.

:yeahthat:

I have no tickets and *holding hands together in prayer* no accidents either and when I got my bike called Geico....they quoted me almost $200 more than Allstate....when I questioned why they said I was high risk because I just got my "M" on my license(I dropped that endorsement about 10 years ago after having it forever)....I told them to go take a flying leap

I love State Farm. I have had them in Ohio, Florida, and Maryland. Never had a problem. My insurance is way cheap and have every discount possible.

We have Geico, after being t-boned by a red light runner last year, they were very good to us. Someone who lives in the county stopped by on their way home with the settlement for the car. I had just gotten out of shock trauma and did not feel like driving to Clinton to pick up the check.

Afterwards, when it came to settlement time, we were lucky that we had an under insured rider on our policy. Please everyone make sure you have this rider. Geico paid 2/3 of the settlement because of that rider.

You might also see if you can max the PIP on your policy, we had only 25,000 per person and I and my wife exceeded that almost immediately. Thank heaven for Blue Cross.

I work for a State Farm agent in Waldorf and I find that State Farm has some of the best customer service and offer a variety of products beyond auto insurance. I have also heard a lot of negative feedback regarding Geico's coverages and their "mechanical breakdown" coverage.

Its like any business, customer service depends on who you deal with at any given moment.
I had state farm when I was younger, was my first insurance company actually, but I found Nationwide to be much, and I mean by a few hundred a year cheaper with more coverage than state farm.

I cant say anything bad about State Farms service though.

I use USAA and love them. I was rear ended about a year ago and the person had GEICO. The claim person was stupid and rude. I actually dealt with 2 claim people and they were both stupid. I have had State Farm before and never had any problems.

State Farm vs. Erie!

I had State Farm for 20+ years (home and auto) with no claims and no moving violations, etc. After talking to a few friends, I found out that my rate was extremely high. So, I called Erie and they quoted (same exact coverage) at almost half as much. I tried to contact my State Farm Agent twice but he was never available. I left two messages with the receptionist and mentioned that Erie quoted me half as much - was their anything State Farm could do to re-evaluate my rate. I never received a call back. I called the receptionist and mentioned that I never heard back from State Farm so I will be moving over to Erie - all I got was thank you we will make a note of this. I switched to Erie and haven't look back. That was over 15+ years ago.

I have State Farm on my Truck and my Bike, Bg has Geico.

I broke down in Baltimore about 3 weeks ago and both our plans have "Roadside Assistance"

With GEICO you call the 800 number, they ask what the problem is and get you help. They call the tow company, find a company local to take your vehicle to get it fixed, call the car rental place to secure a car and to get you picked up.

I call State Farm, they say.. "You're on your own, bring us the receipts when it's all said and done.. GOOD LUCK!!"

Like I know ANYONE to call in the local (to Baltimore) area. A lot of help they would have been if I had been broke down in the middle of Wyoming or Utah.

Yeah, I'm changing my insurance AND picking up AAA.

We hit a Deer last year. I called ERIE and they said I could go anyplace I wanted to have it repaired. However, if I could go to one of their recommended service centers they would make all the arrangements, pickup my smashed ride, etc. Fortunately, a service center was right up the road. Same with a car rental. I went to their recommended rental (Enterprise) and picked up car. The experience (other then hitting the deer) was painless!

I have State Farm for both my cars and the house, cant say ive even had any problems with them and the rates are pretty fair. I use the office right in PF across from the Post Office. had a claim or two in the last ten years, both of which were taken care of as well as I could expect, and with no hassles.
