All I know is that I went with Allstate back in 1973 shortly after I got married. I went with Allstate because my in-laws used this guy. I tried to switch to the Hartford because they write for us old folks through that "over 50" organization 
They wouldn't take me at the time because my daughter was still living with me at the time and still didn't have her license. Their rates would've been about $400 less a year.
I contacted another carrier last year and "Saved a BUNCH of money by switching to Geico"
Seriously though, I'm carrying the same coverage plus roadside assistance and rental car added which I didn't have with Allstate and my rates went down just over $800 a year. GOODBYE ALLSTATE!!!!!!!!!!

The MD Insurance Administration has received the paperwork and tells me that it will take a couple weeks for them process it (check it against Maryland statute, etc.). When I get the results, I'll post them here!
