Three routes forward if I understand the circumstances
A. Congress opts to revise the rules for Auto-pen usage.
B. Congress calls for investigations, the media yawns, testimony incriminates the likely suspects...and nothing happens.
C. IT GETS UGLY...indictments lead to Watergate style hearings, criminal prosecutions follow, the investigation lingers for months, and the media yawns....are any of the pardons or auto-pen signatures voided?...a few. Prosecutions begin against those who's pardons were voided. The media yawns.

D: We arrest the whole Democrat leadership AND their media mouthpieces, find some island to turn into a federal prison, and they all live out their days there until Satan takes them home.

I vote for that.

But it's going to be B.

.... last I heard there is a place available in San Francisco Bay!
I was thinking like make an arrangement with La Palma.

That way, when the western side of the island collapses into the sea, it takes the Democrats with it.

Believe it or not, this situation is not completely unprecedented. In 1919, in his first year in office, President Woodrow Wilson (Democrat, 1919-1921) suffered a massive stroke and was laid up for a year. Some theorize his stroke could have been related to the experimental flu vaccine for the 1918 pandemic. Either way, right before his stroke, he experienced “flu-induced” neurological symptoms in Paris, and then—blammo. Wilson’s wife, Edith “Jill” Wilson, became Shadow President, managing access and making executive decisions. There was no 25th Amendment at the time, and the useless Congress did nothing.

image 9.png

In 1945, polio-survivor Franklin D. Roosevelt (also D) died three months into his fourth term, after a lengthy illness that for decades afterwards remained intentionally murky. Decades later, FDR’s doctor’s memoirs revealed FDR suffered severe hypertension, congestive heart failure, and coronary artery disease. His blood pressure often shot over 220/120— deep into stroke territory. He had extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, and weight loss.

image 8.png

FDR’s doctor and his inner circle hid the whole thing. Media published fake narratives about the wartime president just needing more rest, helped create carefully staged photos, and called any reports of illness political smears. Even though FDR often gave confused and rambling Biden-style answers in late press conferences, nobody ever officially alleged he was mentally incapacitated, and again, Congress did nothing.

FDR, Wilson, Biden— all were Democrats. All were coddled and protected by their staff and media allies, who saw a declining president not as any national security threat but as an optics problem to be stage-managed. But now, there are some key differences. In the two earlier cases, there was no Autopen. There was no 25th Amendment. Nor was there any ubiquitous video evidence and social media to give the public a clue, or that could compel Congressional hearings on presidential capacity.

In short, Comer’s Congressional hearings are making history. Despite a trifecta of Democrat malfeasance during the last century, until now, no Congress has summoned the courage to lift the lid on a terrifying tactic that has always worked out well for the donkey party.

image 6.png

If Comer’s swelling investigation confirms, as seems likely, that Joe Biden was effectively a placeholder president controlled by deep-state drone operators, it could shatter the last remaining illusion that the Democrat Party’s gerontocracy is a feature, rather than a clear and present danger. Younger Democrats —the vaunted youth vote— might revolt in disgust, saying “We’re not carrying water for the nursing home anymore.”

And it would validate the growing suspicion —already held by many voters— that the Democratic Party uses octogenarian figureheads as puppets whose strings are quietly pulled by hidden staffers, lobbyists, and deep-state technocrats.

In other words, this could be the start of something much bigger than just reversing Biden’s Autopen orders. If Biden’s “Not a Joke” presidency was “Weekend at Bernie’s,” the next logical question is: How many other Democrats are being propped up with wires and interns while the “real” decisions are made in shadowy conference rooms? Pelosi? Fetterman? Feinstein? Schumer?

Is the Democrat party a false Hollywood mirage? Not fake in the lizard-people sense (but who knows). But is the Democratic Party, as currently presented to the public, a genuine vehicle of representative governance? Or is it a front, for something else? Is it just a sham, the permanent government’s political wing? Is the Blue Party really only the customer service desk for the administrative state?

House Oversight Chair Comer’s investigation is breaking new historic ground. Could it finally bring an end to the Democrat Party’s win-at-all-costs obsession with nominating presidential candidates who have the mental acuity of a medium-sized Mexican asparagus? We shall see. And it will all unfold just in time for the 2026 midterms.

I was a teenager during Watergate - the only time in my life where it seemed Congressional investigations ACTUALLY resulted in something - enough incriminating evidence that ejected a President from office. And back then, there's little doubt that Nixon WOULD have been impeached - unlike today, where either party can be totally relied upon to support their party above criminality.

There have been MANY since then - and the pattern seems to be to find ONE scapegoat to pin all of the sins on and send them off into the wilderness - Scooter Libby of course, comes to mind. But most of the time, the worst that happens is, someone gets fired or resigns - and no criminal charges are ever filed (Lois Lerner, IRS for example). Iran-Contra was PROBABLY the most far-reaching - and got a slew of people indicted - and convicted -

And sentenced to either probation or were pardoned - some, BEFORE THEY WENT TO TRIAL.

Congressional investigations are such yawners, they often aren't even on the networks. Because people KNOW their purpose is to soothe the public and to subsequently BURY the issue.

Gurps...that Coffee & Covid site is an American version of "Batsh_T Bonkers Britain commentary that I chuckle at weekly.
The referenced site SHOULD be a point of discussion and comment weekly by engaged Americans. I was stunned at how far we have fallen in the nuclear energy realm--again: a lack of wise leadership from the WH allowed that since Bush II.
Thanks for posting.

Biden-Hur Interview PROVES Biden Cognitive Decline, Biden Pardons Could Be INVALIDATED

So...are there grounds to review what Biden actually reviewed/signed/authorized VS issues he had no knowledge whatsoever...and the auto-pen ruled for him?

Let's take this challenge to the supreme court and bring in all the Secretaries' log books to determine WHERE was he when the signature was applied, and is there any corresponding proof of his authorization. I do NOT care if we have to spend 5 million digging up all this data and arresting secretaries/staff who might either lie or destroy personal records.

Prove to me the ghost president was actually functioning for more than 45 minutes a day.
It would be interesting to see if any Chinese are in the books.

Here are the ‘politburo’ members who were really running the Biden White House, according to ‘Original Sin’ authors

Former White House chief of staff Ron Klain was at times part of the “politburo,” as was former senior adviser to the president Annie Tomasini. Also on the “politburo” was the first lady’s former top adviser and “work husband,” Anthony Bernal, whom The Post previously reported created a toxic workplace environment.

“And Joe Biden himself also is part of this. Joe Biden is not like — it’s not ‘Weekend at Bernie’s,’ right?” said co-author and CNN anchor Jake Tapper, referring to the movie about a dead guy who is wheeled around as part of an elaborate ruse.

“He has some purchase here. He has some agency. And he’s aware of some of what’s going on.”

Tapper added: “He’s aware of the fact that they are keeping the cabinet away from him, they are keeping some White House staffers away from him.”

Usually, the term “politburo” refers to the top echelon of a communist state. Many of the seasoned politicos had been around Joe Biden for decades. Regardless of official titles in his 2020 campaign and administration, the “politburo” generally called the shots and got Biden to agree.

“Five people were running the country, and Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board,” one source familiar with the inner workings of the White House told the authors.

An unidentified cabinet secretary vented about the Politburo, saying, “I’ve never seen a situation like this before, with so few people having so much power. They would make huge economic decisions without calling [Treasury] Secretary Yellen.”

The Politburo had been forceful in rejecting and diminishing concerns about the former president’s age and mental acuity, according to the book. The advisers had generally seen “concerns about Biden’s age as simply a political vulnerability, not a serious limitation,” the book claims.

Turns out the morality-free staffers had a frankly treasonous plot ready to enact: they’d just need to show “proof of life” once in a while. Appearing with "FOX News Sunday" host Shannon Bream, Thompson laid out their devious plan :

SHANNON BREAM: You quote a long-time Biden aide basically admitting he shouldn’t be running again. They said to you on page 85, ‘He just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years. He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while. His aides could pick up the slack.’ Who would have been running the White House in a second Biden term?

ALEX THOMPSON: Well, this person went on to say that when you’re voting for a president, you’re voting for the aides around him. But these aides were not even Senate-confirmed aides. These are White House aides. These were unelected people. And one of the things that really I think comes out in our reporting here is that if you believe — and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy — you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things, which I think is what this person is talking about.

They planned to use these "proof of life" moments to prop up the commander in chief, but actually run the country themselves. In other words, they were able to convince themselves to do evil in the name of "good."

In a stunning exchange on Fox News Sunday, a chilling revelation from Alex Thompson, co-author with Jake Tapper of “Original Sin,” laid bare what many of us on the right had long suspected about Joe Biden’s bid for a second term: It was never about serving — it was about installing a shadow presidency run by unelected insiders.

Host Shannon Bream pointed to a quote from Thompson’s book that effectively admitted Biden wasn’t expected to do the job if re-elected. “You quote a long-time Biden aide basically admitting he shouldn’t be running again,” Bream said. “They said to you on page 85, ‘He just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years. He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while. His aides could pick up the slack.’ Who would have been running the White House in a second Biden term?”

Thompson’s response was as alarming as the quote itself. “Well,” he said, “this person went on to say that when you’re voting for a president, you’re voting for the aides around him. But these aides were not even Senate-confirmed aides. These are White House aides. These were unelected people.”

It’s now official: the history of the decline and fall of the Biden empire will be written. It might take even more than Gibbon’s six volumes about the Roman Empire. Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal ran a long-awaited story headlined, “Trump Orders Investigation Into Biden’s Actions as President.” In particular, they’ll be looking into Biden’s “use” —if you can call it that— of the infamous Presidential Autopen.

image 5.png

Do you suppose they’d let you sign your mortgage loan with an autopen? Let’s say you’re at the closing table, and decide to run out for a quad-shot mochachino. I’ll be right back, guys; the Autopen will take care of this stack of papers, don’t worry.

I’m thinking: no.

Yesterday, President Trump formally ordered the White House Counsel and Attorney General Bondi to investigate whether Joe Biden’s presidential authority was “unlawfully exercised” by presidential staffers using an autopen, especially while Biden was having his bad days. In other words, Biden’s cognitive fitness is now the subject of an official DOJ investigation.

There are two separate areas of incalculably vast implication. The first is that Trump has shattered another “norm and custom.” The “old way” was that successive presidents covered for each other— regardless of political party.

Trump isn’t just shattering a norm, he’s dynamiting the entire gentleman’s agreement that presidents don’t investigate each other once out of office, no matter how sloppy, senile, or shady things got. That informal truce —call it The Uniparty’s Mutual Immunity Pact— was never any kind of law, just a closely held and vastly frustrating gentleman’s agreement. But bull-in-the-china-shop Trump, as always, is gleefully smashing the crockery.

Biden’s legal capacity to govern is now squarely in the court of public opinion. If the investigation leads to a report (almost a sure bet), and the facts about how the presidential sausage was pressed prove ugly, the Democrats have even more problems on their hands heading into the 2026 midterms.

Trump is retroactively forcing Democrats to defend Biden’s fitness, turning what should’ve been a quiet, graceful fadeout into a humiliating postmortem. It’s Mueller 2.0, but reversed. This time, rather than Trump, it’s Democrats who are the ones spinning, lawyering up, and sweating subpoenas.
