Fast Eddies is the best around! He won't waste your time, pay him the $100 and he will take you out back and kick you in the a$$.

Jeffs is great so is, Marks(have Joe do the work) or Curtis Tire. Both are honest and within the right pricing.

Thank you. i know where Curtis is. I went to Chesidine. I think i spelled that wrong. The place by Walmart. They failed my inspection and wanted like 1500 bucks to do the work.

Sounds like they were trying to scam you perhaps...I hear a lot of stories of repair shops charging outrageous prices for simple tasks. like $1000 to change some brakes. thats ridiculous...lots but not all women get taken advantage of in a repair shop if they don't know much about vehicles...unfortunately...

The guys at Precision Tune on Rt. 235 in Lexington Park/California told my husband that there was "a lot of sludge in his oil DUE TO LACK OF SERVICE" when he went there to get an oil change. This was about a 2003 pickup that has been in for service every 5000 miles as recommended since it was brand new. We will not go back there again. Cheseldine has been iffy depending on what we have been there for. Now looking for an honest place to take our vehicles to.

I always take my car to Curtis. He has never disappointed me. I would stay away from Chelsadine. I've seen them rip off a couple of friends of mine.

Danny Bishop in St. Inigoes is wonderful. His phone is 301-872-4442. He has never let me down and takes really great care of my vehicles. He also does a lot of work on school buses so he is busy.

im not going to mention any business names, but from experience ive learned there are very few honest and good shops around here.

i had a vehicle inspected a few weeks ago and it failed for three reasons
1. leaky rear shock
2. rotors did not pass a mic
3. cracked belt

all were legit points. not complaining about that.

i was quoted over $1400 to fix these simple items.

i bought the stuff myself with upgraded components and repaired it myself under $450. i saved myself $1000!!!! they were ready to take me for a ride!

long story short, if its something you can fix yourself, you will save tons and have peace-of-mind of the quality workmenship that went into it.

I need balls joints and my hubby doesn't have the tools. We are new here so I just want to make sure we go somewhere good.

Not defending you or the unknown repair shop but, your comparison is the same as saying you can buy a steak at giant for $10 and outback want's
$25 for the same thing, what a rip off.
Point is , You cant compare "DIY" to having a shop do it.

i see what your saying, but it took me about 4.5 hours total and i was taking my time. if the shop were to to charge at most $100 an hour for labor, with a mechanic that i hope is better than me, how do they justify the time = money? and they would have used CHEAP/GENERIC parts.

lol, im not looking for an answer because i know what it is...they want to make money.

its just funny.
