Photoshop doesn't have an animation feature but later versions are bundled with Image Ready, which does animations. When I was too poor to have Adobe software, I used to use a program called GIF Movie Gear for animating.

I saw references to the ImageReady in the help section, but it also directed me to the "animation palette" which I didn't understand. :confused:

Image Ready is an add-on component of Photoshop.. I think it started in like 6.0 or 5.5 version of PS. It will be under the adobe programs group.. Once in there you will see the pallete. If you need to pm me and I can create the animated GIF for you.. will take bout 25 minutes.
