Avatar pretty much kicked as much ass as I thought it was going to.


A lot of the concepts were over the top and/or cliched, but I didn't watch it because I thought it was going to be sophisticated. I wanted awesome visuals and lots of fun, and got what I paid for.


Very cool stuff.






BTW: After 2 viewings, I'm still not a tree-hugging, anti-American hippy.

a bunch of people accuse Avatar of being a tree hugging hippy movie. I guess there are some themes about protecting the environment and living with the land that some right-wing nutjobs think is political propaganda fueled by the Obama bandwagon.

who knows, maybe it is, but it's still a good movie (at least in 3d). i wasn't brainwashed into being a treehugger because of it

Watched the movie a couple of times. Decent story and it being completly CG is amazing.

Well, I am a semi-treehugger to begin with and an animal nutty. With that said, I don't try to read in a bunch of crap when it comes to watching movies. I am also not an anti-American hippy after watching it.
