I received my Masters License as a Wildlife Rehabber in January! Yea!! :yahoo:
My specialty: squirrels, raccoons.

I will take in most any animal and will transport it to the rehabber that can best care for it.

I will also be working with osprey with the goal of getting my US Fish and Wildlife papers for birds of prey/migratory permit.

Anyway...
Many rehabbers all ready have orphan babies mostly squirrels and with the latest nasty wind storm, more babies were orphaned.

I received my first 3 babies Sunday night.

Two males and one female.
They are about 3 1/2 weeks old and weigh in at 78-80 grams as of yesterday am.
All are doing well...
Here are a couple of photos of the gang: The $10 bill is in there for scale.
They are scheduled for release in July...

Feel free to release them in the wood behind my house. Lots of oak and hickory back there.

What do you want...your license or a squirrel?

One is a 2+ year process..to get license,

The other is illegal unless you have a permit...a 2 year process for the most part.

And I promise you..you will never get a full nights sleep until September!!! Hahaha....

They are cute until they decide they want to be weaned adn become "big" squirrels!!!:killingme

Hey... They are GREAT!!!
In a bigger cage, being weaned.
The smaller one wants real food and no more formula, and the larger one...fully weaned an eating all sorts of stuff..last night they got strawberries..YUM!!!

I will post a photo in a few minutes!

I will be releasing them in about 2 more weeks..and by this weekend, they will be moved outside!!! YEA:yahoo:
