Baby shower questions

Babys R Us has a "Parents Survival Kit". It has tons of stuff in it that you might not think someone would need, but they always do! I also do the basket thing and stuff it with lots of stuff. When I was pregnant people got me tons of newborn stuff, but once my daughter got to be about 9-12 months the clothes ran out, so I always buy bigger outfits for them to keep for later.

I like to give gifts of Infant Tylenol (they'll use it way before it ever expires) saline nose drops, Infant gas drops, Infant decongestant, Pedilyte, thermometer etc.

You get the idea. Anyway, I do this because the first time the baby gets sick and needs these things, it will be in the middle of the night when nothing close by is open and you have to drag a sick baby out to get it. I've done this for a number of friends, and they've always commented that is was great to have this stuff on hand when they got sick (and I'm sure eventually they will)

I saw this baby shower game on tv.

You get a bunch of clean diapers, and some candy bars. You slightly melt and mush the candy bars into the diapers.
Then you pass them around and have everyone try to guess what the candy bar is. Looks gross, but looked like a lot of fun.

I did something similar to this with my sister's shower; only I had one diaper with a melted candy bar in it. The person who had the "dirty diaper" won a prize. It was a hit.

We did this two weeks ago at my nieces babyshower. It was different and fun! and believe it or not, it's not as easy as it sounds. I only got like 10 out of 20 diapers right!

She's doing cloth diapers. But thanks!

What kind of cloth diapers? Because you could always get the soap or more inserts. And or more diapers to go along with what she has. Trust me. Cloth diaper inserts and the soap are needed. I use fuzzy bunz, and use the biosoap on the little girl I nanny for, and there are some days I would kill for more diapers!

Ok....so I've got a few games in mind. I have another question. I've never actually been to a baby shower. :blushing: What is the format? Games then food then presents? Food then games then presents? Geesh. I'm not going to schedule things, but I want to know what people usually do. :flowers:
