Anyone listening to scanner? Sounds bad. Think they just pronounced one priority four. Calling for helicopter, too.

We are listening.....Heard the call go out, just pronounced a priority four. Wife and I are thinking it might be a drill. Hopefully it is, if not our prayers to the families.

I am thinking it is a drill. Solomons was on the scene pretty quick. Also with this being right in front of the high school, wondering if it might be a scare tactic for the students. Heard of one school in VA doing this on the news the other day.

I just sent a text to my daughter and asked if there was a helicopter landing in front of the school.

They will land the chopper for a drill. I find it odd that they would drill on a weekday.

This event is held every year at all the high schools in Calvert County with the goal that students who are at the age and able to drive will learn from this mock situation and hopefully it will never happen to them.

In Indiana the schools, police, ems, fire department, and prosecutors offices do a drill/demonstration for the high school kids to help drive home the consequences of drinking and driving. They also put the remains of a car on display in front of the high school along with the story of what happened to the car. I think it is a good way to illustrate what can happen. Seeing the results often has a greater impact than just listening to details.

Prayers for the families involved in this accident...

The mock story is from yesterday, but a few minutes ago, there was a current story. And yest was at Huntingtown, this one said Patuxent. I am thinking maybe they have it down to update it.

Text just came in from a Patuxent student, IT IS A MOCK CRASH!!!!!!!!


Baynet should NOT have posted this, and I guess thats why they removed it!
