I Know exactly what kind of haircut you are talking about. My daughter had the same thing, she thought she wanted that style and then was devasted at how short it actually was........so instead of saying"well you wanted it like that"..i went on line and looked up actresses and pop singers who all had their hair cut short like her's, and after she saw them she felt so much better, and really liked her hair cut!......I also would let her wear clear lip gloss, and we got some funky hair clips to put in the longer area around the front. Hope this helpsTina2001aniT said:How do you make your kid feel better about a bad haircut? The cut itself is fine, she just hates it....Says it is too short and looks like a boy! She was in tears last night, any advice?
The new style is longer in the front with the back kinda spikey-ish, where you can put the gel in the back and it gets all messed up and kinda spikey...
My best thought so far is to go get her some like pink wash out highlights to help her feel a little more "girley" while it grows out....

Buy her a pink bandana and tie it on......that is what I do when I have a bad hair day.Tina2001aniT said:How do you make your kid feel better about a bad haircut? The cut itself is fine, she just hates it....Says it is too short and looks like a boy! She was in tears last night, any advice?

you can also get it at any pharmacy like Rite aide, or CVS........they come in funky blue and pink, also if you look where the hairstyling products are (well at my CVS) they have some little things that look like mascara, but they are for the hair, you just pluck a strand of hair and then run the bristle brush down it, and it gives colour, but my daughter has brown hair, and not many of the colours showed up good, but she was happy with just the hint of colour!!elaine said:Sally's, but be careful...that crap gets on everything!

A bad haircut is the worst.
I would definitely not suggest giving her any strange vitamins without consenting a doctor first. I say just buy her some cute little barrettes at Claire's or something and jazz up her hair. I had a bad hair cut when I was little (well, for most of my childhood ) and I got over it eventually.Tina2001aniT said:I wonder....she is seven....

I don't recall ever being coddled when I got a crappy haircut. It was "Oh well, it will grow out. Now go play.". :shrug:FastCarsSpeed said:See the stuff I have live with LOL... The kid is very adverse to change she is not a happy camper at all. I think we should just stop talking about the hair and she will forget it LOL. Right that would work..

1) Mr. Rays hair weave...
2) Dye it jet black, do her nails black, black lipstick, black leather pants that are 2 sizes too small for her, black eye liner and a pretty pink top with butterflies on it..
I bet she'll forget all about it in a couple of days....
