My gal Lily just recently started taking thyroid medication for hypothyroidism.
So far, we've found that she's hidden a pill under her bed (that was embedded in cheese) and also stuffed in the corner on the stair. One morning I gave it to her and made sure she swallowed and turned around to walk away - and QUICKLY turned back around on her to witness her atooey: it out on her own mane of fur!!!
This morning I gave her her pill, watched her swallow and even had her tongue hanging out as we prepared to go outside at a door more than 25' away.
What do I find when we come back in? Her pill, whole. But wet enough that it crumbles and I cannot give it to her.
My dog cheeks her pills!! She's like an old man who doesn't want to take his meds!
