My son wants to bring his lunch to school so i was wondering what are some creative ways to make a bag lunch? I want his lunches to be healthy. I don't want to make the same thing everyday.
How old is he and how adventurous of an eater is he?
My step-daughter, when she was in high school, was the best lunch packer in the world. She'd give me a list of stuff she needed, and from there she'd make creative fruit mixes, raw veggies with dip, rollups, wraps, etc, etc.
- Sliced apples and little cups of caramel dip
- Get thick skewers and make fruit kabobs
- Pinwheel sandwiches - spread whatever in a tortilla, roll it up and slice into pinwheels
- Instead of a sandwich, pack crackers and toppings so they can make their own snackies
Check with the school also...a few schools don't allow you to have peanut butter.
You've got to be freakin' kidding me.Check with the school also...a few schools don't allow you to have peanut butter.

My oldest (9) said that the kids with peanut allergies are segregated from other kids as a precaution.

Good, lord, how many of them are there??
You should be ashamed of yourself.Talk about taking the fun out of packing a lunch...
Okay, how about:
Organic soy milk sweetened with cruelty-free honey
Veggie burgers with quinoa and bulgur salad
Tofu dogs wrapped in pesticide-free cabbage leaves
Yum yum! Can't wait for lunch!
You should be ashamed of yourself.
My son is in pre-school and they are peanut free! We cant even send anything that Little Debbies makes because on the back of each box indicates it may contain peanuts (even if it doesnt, it is still printed on the back of the package)! He cant even have regular m&m's because they are made at processing plants with peanut m&m's!
I have even been on a plane where they couldnt pass out peanuts because someone was allergic to peanuts and "peanut dust".
I can understand in preschool. They are tiny then, and having a friend who's child has SEVERE allergies, i know how much she worries. Even if a kid touches something, then her, she has a severe reaction. However, past 1st or 2nd grade the kids should be able to know what to avoid and to tell people that they can't touch stuff. And allergies that severe are so rare that making over an entire school is illogical.
