Now I'm curious, and this is a real question, not a slam:

It's so easy to throw meat and veggies in a crockpot in the morning. Why did you get the Banquet frozen stuff?

Never tried those, but I've got this in the crock pot right now, and it's smelling really good!!! Hope it tastes as good this evening. Oh, and I don't do mushrooms, so I substituted Cream of Chicken soup instead.

Exactly! I normally shop up all the veggies the night before and then throw everything together in the crock pot in the morning. Takes 1 minute tops!

I can't cook. The only meat I buy is ground turkey. Wouldn't know how to cook any other kind of meat except steak on the grill.

I can't imagine it would be any good..that frozen stuff always tastes sooo salty to me.

Chicken and dumplings are so easy too..SOs favorite...esp if you make your own stock and freeze it..then pilsbury biscuits for the dumplings..its really a snap..and men just loveee it...mine does anyway

It's so easy. You don't even need to follow a recipe. Put in chicken, a can of cream of mushroom/celery/chicken soup, a bag of frozen mixed veggies, salt, pepper, whatever other seasonings you want, and viola. Like Liberty said, you can use "whomp" biscuits if you can't make dumplings.

Once I found out those crock pot meals were crap, the crock pot went in the garbage. Same philosophy with the fondue pot once the fire was put out in our kitchen.

I wish I had of. The Banquet stuff was on sale and it sounded good and the picture on the wrapper looked yummy. I'll know next time.

I have never done the fondue thing and have no desire too. Fire in the kitchen? :yikes:

:yikes: The crockpot isn't to blame for what you put in it! :lmao:

No crock pot = no temptation to buy that stuff again.

Yep, set the cabinets on fire along with the range hood. Had to get new cabinets, stove/oven, mircowave, coffee pot due to fire damage and/or the fire extinguisher stuff. Walls and ceilings were black from smoke. Had to call in a company to scrub down the whole house.

That was the moment I knew my husband REALLY loved me. Plus it was a good thing it happened in Jan 2000 because Jan 2001, I was 9 month pregnant (and over-due) with our oldest son. I still remember going to Wal-mart with black crap up my nose to get my husband a new coffee pot because that's the one thing he couldn't live without.
