Bartending

:jet: That's ridiculous. Average price is $7.00.
lol IF 7 Is average then 850 would not be considered ridculous. High maybe but not ridiculous. 10.50 would be ridiculous. :drama:

Yeah, that makes complete sense. To me, it's always a percentage thing with the percentage going up for really good service. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my last post.

My friend's complaint is that people have become "cheap" when tipping lately. The percentage has dropped. So someone may sit at the bar, have 6 beers and a meal and leave a $3 tip.

I'm not sure about the percentage thing.. it should be a dollar a drink minus sodas etc... and thats a minimum

You don't think that people that only drink sodas should tip?

The fear of Smell

My sentiments exactly. Stay home and "get faced." You're better off.
I still think it all stems from the State gubmint out- lawing smoking in bars.
Those owners had to make up for the drop in business somehow, huh?

I hope this makes the "transplants" happy. I've heard comments about St. Mary's being nothing but a place full of dive bars. I guess now there aren't as many; or won't be.

Yeah, which reminded me... a few weekends ago me and the wifey took a weekend trip over to Fredricksburg... just to get away. We went to the hotel bar to have a drink... a guy sitting aside of me lit up a cigarette! We about fainted, not realizing Virginia has not banned smoking in bars. So I ran back to my hotel room and snatched up our smokes and pleasantly enjoyed a few hours of drinks, smokes and mingling. :buddies:

This place is a crap hole and the bars are defiently a reflection of that statement.

The people here are rude and really dont care about being "social".

A person here could lay down a $50 or $100 bill, ask for good service throughout the night and come next round the bartender would look at you like your some fricking alien.

I hate this place. Currently I have tons of applications out. I am complaining but also moving.

I've lived in a few different places. I have been to bars all over the east coast. I think that we have some of the friendliest bartenders I have ever seen.
