that has a list of the puppies but you can change it too a young dog as well. the older they get i think the more pure bred they are. I have a 3 year old male and he is super hard dog. I have never had a dog as smart and as independant as him. You should do some research on them to make sure it will fit with your lifestyle. They are not your lab or your golden that want to do nothing but please its parent. Bassets please themselves first then YOU lol. that is just how they are. So do some research to make sure it is a task you are willing to take on.

I grew up with Basset Hounds. Each one had its own personality. I think they are very smart animals. One time, we bought a pizza but forgot to get sodas for dinner. We put the pizza in the middle of the dining room table and ran down the road quick for the drinks. When we came home, one of the dogs was standing on the others back pulling the pizza box almost off the table.

I thought they made great pets. If I ever get another dog it will definately be a basset hound. No question.
