In order to understand the case, you need to read the legal documents that were filed by both parties.

Here are 3 docs which are in the public domain and were filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court in St. Mary's.

My Files

They are the original suit by Bell against Davis, Davis' answer, and a subsequent counterclaim.

There were many more documents filed in the case which I do not currently have. Anyone can go read them by visiting the clerk's office and providing the case number(s). You can make all the copies you like for a few pennies per page.

You also have to understand that what is said in the documents is the opinion of one party or the other. Just because you file a document with the court, that does not make everything printed on the paper the truth. Only God knows the complete truth of any matter.

The whole scenario is fairly complicated, so don't feel bad if you don't get it right away. You really have to read the allegations in the Bell case and the subsequent Donovan case and the timeline to get a picture of what allegedly went on.

My interpretation of the information:

-- JD needed cash infusion and brought Sharon Bell into the company. She covered her bases by having him sign an employment contract, which among other things prevented him from ditching her and competing against the BN.

-- Things didn't pan out and Bell did not get her money back.

-- After we fired the RadioSOMD DJ and canned the project, BN quickly started BN Radio and picked up the free agent (thinking they knew something we didn't know, I guess)

-- About this time, MR. Donovan enters the picture and according to his court filings, starts to loan money to JD for the BN.

- Around this time, JD starts a new Md. corporation called THEBAYNET.COM Inc. Bay Media Services, Inc. is the original company which started the BN, and if I understand the court docs properly, this is the company that Bell obtained an interest in. You can speculate on your own as to why JD did this.

-- Not long after this, Bell files her civil suit against JD alleging breach of contract.

-- Shortly after this, somdtoday.com domain name was registered. Inside sources tell me that key employees of the BN were not happy with JD and were planning to jump ship to this new company/site.

-- A few months later, Donovan filed suit against JD. I believe the essence of the suit was that money was loaned and never repaid.

-- Not long after this, there appears to have been a struggle for control of BN Radio. First, John Hunt Enterprises registers the domain name baynetradio.com. Next, JD registers the legal name "Baynet Radio" as a Tradename of TheBaynet.com, Inc. (his new company) with the state of Md. Not long after, somdtoday.com runs a story announcing that they and Baynet Radio (the one controlled by Hunt) have joined forces. Somewhere along the line, Hunt is legally joined in one of these cases. Ultimately, he changes the name of his online radio station.

The final key legal maneuver I found in public documents was that JD registered "The Bay Net" as a tradename for TheBaynet.com, Inc. with the state of Maryland.

You'll have to piece the rest together. This is just my interpretation of the facts per the legal documents and state records I read.

Oh pooh. I laughed and commented. Guess I'm SATAN!! too.

I think they made a mistake by "buying" Baynet. If they wanted a news website they should have started over from scratch and not identified themselves with the taint (heh) of Josh Davis.

Heh, you said "taint" :pete:

That's what happens when you rush to get it up. I don't see any other site with it up yet. I just checked TBN.
