Beaches in Calvert County?

nobody really

I need a nap
I was there last week and there was no charge.

Brownies Beach aka Bay Front Park in Calvert charges $9 per person for out of county people.

Since when? Thats the one tucked in the back with the boardwalk? I've never paid, or seen where to pay. I know north beach charges, but i've never knew brownies beach does.

Elms beach south of the base and I think still free. Lots of Bay beach and no jellyfish yet.

Elms and Myrtle Point are no charge during the week but $5 per car on weekends and holidays. Point Lookout is so much per car too. $5 per car is not bad, they aren't charging individually. Check the county government's website or the state park's website to be exact.

The past two years from Memorial Day to Labor Day they have someone sitting at the parking lot checking licenses and taking money.
Haven't been this year.

Since last summer. I refused to go back because of it. I moved out of state and am back on vacation. Decided to bite the bullet and take my son there instead of the cliffs. 16 BUCKS!!!!!!! 6 for a 4 year old and 10 for me. The beach is NOT worth it. I love that beach but not for the money. I'd be willing to pay for parking like at the cliffs but i wont do that again..no way! :banghead:

Point Look Out state park has a large beach, and if your guests are from Spain, they should feel right at home, as the park has been over run with hispanic's

Probably a bit late but Flag Ponds is amazing!!! Not free but not expensive either. Beautiful beach, lots of fossils, swimming, pier. A little walk to the beach but it's nice to see the wildlife, trees etc.
