I cannot get my Queen size box spring or should I say box up the stairs of my new residence.

I have it dissasembled all the way down to a flat platform and still no go. Anyone ever encountered this problem?

Is it a new box spring? If so can you return it and get a split box spring? Comes in two pieces and much easier to manuever. If not, may be worth the investment. Just an idea

Return it and get the Select Comfort system. The frame attaches/detaches into single pieces. It's easy to move!

I ran into the same thing, the box wouldn't clear the angle in the ceiling above the stairs. I thought I could cut the frame enough to make it flex, but the metal was stiff enough to prevent it bending.
I ended up tossing it and making two boxes that I could put together once I got them up there.

Now aren't you glad you didn't buy the place?

It's that kind of crap that you get to figure out first as a renter...

Yeah, funny ending to this little story. I took the box springs to the St Marys landfill. I had the cloth off of it so I could get to the frame. The guy tried to tell me I had to separate it into wood and metal. Didn't happen that way.:lmao:

But wait, there's more...
Why not just get a platform bed? Then you don't need a box spring. And they look rather chic. yay:
