Bed (please don't hate me for this)

I was going to use the classifieds for this, but I don't see a thing for "items wanted" just "for sale".... unless I missed it. I am in need of a Queen or Full size bed with frame, box spring, and mattress. The less "DNA" on it the better. If you know anyone or if you have one you are needing to get rid of, PLEASE let me know. (would this be considered "spam") If so, sorry:razz:

Great, now I feel like a scum. I wouldn't think it would be nasty as long as a person looked at it and it didn't reek or have big huge stains. Plus, you could get an idea by seeing the prospective seller. :ohwell:

Tater,

Just make sure you cleanse the mattress extremely well. You know, just the thought of someone else's ### sleeping where you will now sleep makes me wanna :barf:

Ok..I'm just messing with ya. Really, I think it will be a safe purchase for you. Not to mention the savings.

Tater, when you go to post a classified, there will be an option on the actual form for "Wanted". Try to post an ad and you'll see what I mean.

Why is everyone so upset about a mattress that strangers have slept on? Don't you ever sleep at a motel?

No, Bk! Body fluids are nasty, no matters whose they are. Oh, and some are salty, too.

Not true!
For example, if I saw an ad that said "For sale; King Bed. Only slept in by The Olsen Twins"...

And you make a good point, Vrai. The only thing that I make sure to do, however, is put that nasty bedspread on the floor right off the bat. Ever see the 20/20 segment on that?
:barf:

Yes, Vrail, and people still use sheets and covers, don't they? I guess there are leakage issues, though. Do you know anyone that you could borrow one of those neon-type lights that you see on cop shows that will show the bodily fluids in the dark? Then you'll know you're safe.

It's a black light, if I remember correctly.

If you saw that 48 Hours (or one of those shows) that used some sort of light to show "fluids" in hotel rooms, you will never look at the room the same way. :barf: I have to forget about it or I would be sleeping standing up fully clothed in the shower.

But some people have mattresses in spare bedrooms that are never used (I did) and they just want to change the room and the bed no longer works with the decor.

Good luck Tater.

Tater,

I know it's not what your looking for, but I found this bunk bed set in the classifieds. I think it would work well for sleepovers.

Oh, and have you ever made a slide out of a bunk bed? You use the bottom mattress, angle it on the top bunk, and you slide down. What can I say, I was bored as a child.

I've seen several shows that deal with germs/bacteria in hotels and such. One thing to think about is the shopping carts at the grocery store. Mothers put their diapered babies in the front of the carts. The next person may come along and set their purse in the very same spot, then taking the purse home and setting it on the kitchen counter. :barf:

Just think of the gunk on the seats at movie theaters. How many of you fella's have gotten a "hummer" there? :really:

Hand-release is more prevailant, I think.

Did I tell you about the time I reached between the seats to get the candy that I'd dropped and pulled out someone else's booger?
It still gives me the creeps...

I have this girlfriend who would go home with a guy she just met and sleep on his strange mattress, yet she wouldn't buy a used mattress from a yard sale. She thought it was gross.
:roflmao:
