Nah, I do think that such a game is ugly and distasteful if it is there for more than multiplayer matches... IE an immersive single player campaign as the Tali would be... off. But for multiplay matches? Biggie.

Agreed. If the campaign mode was centered on fighting for the Taliban, it would be a completely different story. But in order to have vs. multi-player, this is no different than any other "bad guy" scenario.
We've been actively battling the Taliban for most of a decade now. If you want to have a combat game that reflects modern times, you're gonna have this. You can only fight WW II so many times.
Plus, I really like the the idea of killing the hell out of Taliban-shaped pixels!!!

oh yea I can't wait. I am so pumped. My mom is going to drop me off at gamespot in about an hour so I can wait in line for the game.
I want to make sure I understand:
Islamic community centers = bad
Pretending to shoot US military personnel = good
Being Taliban = bad
Pretending to be Taliban = good
Burning Korans = good
Pretending to burn US military = good
Is that about right? Does this game have a cool beheading and disemboweling feature for when you capture your American enemy?
