Beltway shut down in Beltsville

The beltway is closed in both directions in Beltsville. Cops stopped a "suspicious" car about 7:50. Cops have guns drawn and car occupants refuse to surrender. Beltway closed in both directions from Rt. 1 to Kennilworth Ave.

I say the cops should shoot a 40MM teargas grenade at the car and "accidentally miss the window and hit the gastank instead.

How do the cops know it's a "suspicious" car?

Ran the tags and they came back stolen. Probably driving badly (speeding, tailgaiting, swerving, or some such) and that lead to the running of the plates.

Actually it has a Bush/Chaney sticker. So the police are safe since Chaney only shoots his friends.

Thought that's what the State boys had the bird for?
Wouldn't that have been easier on the masses?

:killingme From WTOP:

State Police brought in Prince George's County Police, a dog-sniffing unit and somebody who could speak Spanish. From 7:50 a.m. to 9 a.m. police used various instruments to try to wake up the two.

They held the car at gunpoint because they didn't know whether man and woman were going to attack police.

Police units busted into the unlocked Honda and pulled the two from the car at 8:53 a.m.

It takes an hour to break into an unlocked car? :lmao:

NOT Politically Correct!!
I guess when 2 crack heads are asleep in a car and tell the police to leave them alone, that's good for another hour of sleep while the police sort it out!!!

Police say the Honda had been stolen in Prince George's County. Inside of it, police say they found controlled substances.

I bet if they had brought in a drug-sniffing dog they would have moved faster.
