I remember a Woody Hayes story...
...that, long ago, on a recruiting trip into Michigan in the dead of winter, they, Woody and his assistants, were running out of gas heading home and Woody refused to buy gas in MIchigan even though running out might mean they'd freeze to death on the lonely road. The story goes he was more than happy to take kids OUT of Michigan but he'd be damned if he'd spend a dime IN Michigan.
