Best Mapping System

watercolor

yeah yeah
I will be going to VA Beach this weekend for the first time, let alone with just me and skeeter. Therefore, I am trying to figure out which would be the best online mapping system to use for the trip. I know that mapquest has had some problems with sending you the 'round about historical' ways and such- but I am pretty much looking for the most cut and dry way, since I will be skeeter, and also traveling in the evening.

What say you?

Btw, thanks in advance.

I use Microsoft Streets and Trips 2007.
Find it to be the best of mapping programs. Have a nice time! :howdy:

I use a cellulose navigation system. The visitor center across the Nice bridge in VA can install one in your car for a very reasonable price.

I just like to use either Yahoo or Mapquest, but pick my own route. Print out the maps in case you have to detour.

The sites and programs seldom give a "NO INTERSTATE" option on planning a trip route. Somewhat useless.
She asked for favorite sites and that is the one I like most.

RandMcNally is a good site. Click "Advanced Options" and then the "shortest route". It will give you a route with minimal interstate directions.

True, but she's going to VA beach.
Unless you know the backroads on the northern neck, you take 301 to 17 and then turn left on 64.
After you've done that a few times you learn to cut out all the lights at the end of 17 by cutting over to 64 at Ft. Useless on Rt.105

WTF is your point? She asked for a reliable mapping system and I offered the one I like to use. If you wanted to volunteer your preferred route why didn't you post it rather than giver her a useless blurb about your cellulose navigation system.

Thanks Ken, I tried that for my planned trip to TN this summer and it eliminated almost all of the interstate.
I've got an Rand McNally map CD program and it doesn't work nearly as well.

Triple A, thought this was about mapping systems and not cup size?
I thought you said more than a mouthful was a waste and that you liked how sensitive they are. :bawl:

You need to spring for a boob job then. :meamie:

The mouth has been empty for awhile, maybe we should hook up.
