Anyone?

I would prefer to buy them live and uncooked since putting the little buggers in the boiling water is my favorite part

best pace to buy crabs

I woud recommend going down to piney point and get crabs from Goldeneye seafood. The owner is cut from a different mold but they are the best quality around. Personally I always wait til the prices drop drastically after labor day. The best crabs i have eaten in the past have been in october

Speaking of Rose's, is there not a new lady selling crabs there? What happened to the lady in the blue van?

Anyway, my wife went to by some #1 male crabs from the new lady, but the new lady started putting in the smaller crabs. My wife told here she wanted the bigger crabs, but apparently the lady didn't know the meaning of the word bigger. Furthermore, she tried to put the crabs in a box rather than a paper bag, to which my wife said that she didn't want the crabs to be crawling all over her car on the way home, but the lady insisted on trying to give her the crabs in the box. My wife by this time was a bit fumed and said forget it and left.

She likes the old management better.

Thanks for the replies. Since boiling crabs to cook them is against MD law could someoene post some instructions explaining how to properly cook them MD style? It's important to keep the crab police away.........

I'll check out a few of the places listed. Thanks everyone.

I am still a newcomer to all this. I have never had fresh crab in my life, tell me, what is the difference between the male/female crabs and such?

Think of the male crab as tab A and the female crab as slot B.

:lmao: :howdy:

The males grow larger with more meat. While females don't have the size, they have sweeter meat. Better for soups and bisques :yay:

I got 2lbs of snow crabs yesterday, from Capt. Pat's on RTE 235, next to Ledo Pizza.

Threw a hunk of them on the grill, along with an 1 1/2 inch thick NY Strip steak last night, and all I can say is.....:yum:
