Kellams Seafood in Ridge

I went on my birfday to get me some crabs from there and the guy was not customer friendly. I wanted a dozen Jumbo's and he told me that he wasn't turning the steamer on for less than 2dz and that he would be better off giving them to me because just like everyone else they get hit with the electric bill too.

I felt that was a little unprofessional and he is the type that couldn't give a f#ck... However, Mr. Kellam's customer service is spectacular but that guy's b#tching and moaning about Mr. Kellam's power bill was not cool.

I am glad I called early enough so that mine could be steamed with an order he would later process or else I wouldn't have gotten any crabs. And, yes I am :bawl: because it was my birthday.

Just like someone else mentioned, my jumbo's or #1's were mostly smaller than bigger and I am not so sure what makes a crab a #1 or jumbo anymore but I would rather pay for the regular size than pay for half regulars and half big ones at jumbo prices. However, their crabs were d@mn good so I wasn't turned off for long. Just will make sure Mr. Kellam is working when I go.

I got 2lbs of snow crabs yesterday, from Capt. Pat's on RTE 235, next to Ledo Pizza.

Threw a hunk of them on the grill, along with an 1 1/2 inch thick NY Strip steak last night, and all I can say is.....:yum:

I have heard someone else say that their crabs were good, however do not buy them after it gets cold. I bought some last year in November and theirs had sand in them, Kellam's never had sand and I bought from him til he stopped selling in December last year.
