Best place to get Santa picture taken

Wow, can't believe this will actually happen! We finally have a baby girl after many years of hoping and praying. Would like to get her first picture of santa. I used to work as an elf at the mall so I am well aware of the process and craziness so I thought I would ask here for any recommendations on where to go regarding crowds and a good Santa helper. Thank you so much!

Sketchy Santas - Creepy Santa Claus is Creepy

OMG I'm dying laughing here...thanks for taking me down that rabbit hole today!!! The pics that look like they were taken in the 50's and 60's are the ones that are cracking me up the most...who in the hell would put their kid on the lap of a guy who looks like these?

Looks like a great place, I've never been there but will check it out. Something different than the same 'ol mall Santa scene. :yahoo:

Stupid question but I'm new to this Santa pic thing too. Do they just take a pic and you get that one pic? Or do they have packages available? What I'm really wondering is if I love the pic of my little man w/ Santa, is there a way to make it into XMAS cards and is it ridiculously pricey?

Yes and Yes.... at most places, especially the mall Santas. Now if you go to one of the smaller businesses that have Santa, they usually only give you a picture (and sometimes for free) but the mall Santa places almost always offer 'packages' - and you can buy a CD with the images on it (they usually take a few pictures so you have more than one to choose from - two or three typically) and once you have that CD it is very easy to take it somewhere or upload it onto your computer and get XMAS cards made.

From what I remember, the CD is your best bet if you are wanting to get a lot of pictures made - I can't remember exactly how much it was, but I think it was around $10 or $15 for basically two pictures of your kid on it. I think that's pricey for one picture - but since this is your first baby and first time with Santa, it will probably be worth it to you.

Congrats! Christmas is so much fun when you have little ones in your life!

Thanks for the info. Yes, I'd pay $10-$15 for a couple of great Santa pics. Crappy ones....wouldn't bother buying of course. Last year I used a really cute pic of my son that I took for the cards. But I'd love to use an actual Santa pic this year. We have family members/friends all over the country that don't get to see him often/at all and I know they'd love it.

Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad is having a "Lunch with Santa" on December 11th from noon - 3pm... the price is $5 per child and lunch is provided by Chick-Fil-A... if you have a digital camera you can take the picture there and get the one you want. :yay:
