Dry Dock is great but seriously big bucks.

Stoney's is excellent food but the atmosphere tends to be a bit noisy.

CD Cafe is good, but be there on time (they begin serving dinner at 5:30) or you'll wait a long time for a table.
I'd say the prices at Stoney's (KIngfisher in Solomons) are comprable to the Dry Dock and the food is nowhere near as good. I wouldn't put Dry Dock and CD's in a list of seafood restaurants, they might have seafood on the menu but it's not their specialty. If you want a very good meal (dining experience) then make a reservation and go to Dry Dock. The fact CD's does not take reservations is the only mark against it. Food a CD's tends to be a little more "imaginative"

Did anyone mention Sandgates?

I wasn't impressed. We went there a few months ago after DoWhat raved about it. It wasn't bad but it was pricey and the food was just so-so. It wasn't bad at all....just nothing special. Maybe things have changed? I would try it again.

When it first opened, they were awesome! But the last couple times I've been there, it hasn't been the same. The last time I had the crab dip, I swear it tasted like tuna & sour cream. I said something to Danny about it and he deducted it from our bill, so we didn't have to pay for it. The rest of the food was ok, but not as good as when he first opened.

Where is Dry Dock?

In Solomons down C Street I believe. They are in my humble opinion still one of the best restaurants in the area. I do love CD Cafe too - also in Solomons - and they usually have several great seafood specials a night. My favorite seafood restaurant though is still Clarke's Landing. :yum:

For just plain good crabs in a nothing fancy atmosphere, Seabreeze has my vote. Scheible's is good and they have an excellent cream of crab soup.
