I have a flight out of Dulles mid day next week. What is the best/ cheapest way to get there? having a friend drive me is not an option as everyone else will be working. I have considered long term parking at about $50 total cost but was wondering if there was an easier or cheaper way to go.

One way rental car up inst too bad, at about $30. However, one way rental back will be in the $80 range. and gas of course.

Dulles is easy to get to. I just flew in/out of there this past weekend.

Travel 495 towards northern VA, hop on 50 or 66, and follow the signs for Dulles. Long-term parking is $10 per day and operates just like BWI -- you park and take a shuttle to your terminal.

Dulles is a large airport so be prepared to walk... a lot. I didn't notice that security lines were that long. Do you have premier access with your airline? You'll cut down even more time in the security line.

Dullas is easy.

Inner loop of the beltway, take the first left

It's only a 10 mile difference between going to Dullas and BWI from lex park.

Back in the days of big motors and cheap gas, the Dullas access road was where you went to find the top end on your car.

Several of the hotels in the area offer long term parking for much cheaper than the airport parking. They also offer free shuttle service between the hotel and the airport.
