Better Rates Than State Farm Auto?

FWIW - When I took out the Insurance I asked them (this was years ago now) why they were cheaper. They said because they only insure driver's from Maryland, Virginia, DC and Pennsylvania so they were exempt from taking high risk drivers, etc. I have also noticed everytime you see auto insurer's comparing companies - they never compare their rates to Erie.:killingme

Progressive just had an across the board rate increase. A lot of our customers have been "surprised" by their new rates!

"our customers"... you work for Progressive, or another insurer?

And it's good to know it's not just me.... I get complexes easily.

I've had Erie Insurance since 1992 and haven't had anyone able to beat my current premium for my auto or my home. I've actually had a decrease in my homeowner's in the last renewal, almost a $200 decrease. Can't beat that!

I have my car insured with USAA. My husband's truck is insured with State Farm and so is our homeowners insurance.

If you're eligible for it, I think USAA is great!

USAA is now offering insurance to former military members who did not sign up while active. Spouses and dependents are also eligible.

A friend of mine saved $500/year (insuring three vehicles) when he switched from State Farm to USAA.

I've been with USAA for almost 30 years. Excellent service and great rates.

:yay: I like USAA, as well. After I got divorced, I had to be switched over to their "high risk" company, because I personally never served in the Armed Forces. But I still get very good rates with them. We had our homeowner's policy with them in FL for 7 years and I have them now with my homeowners' coverage. Also have term life insurance with them.
