Beware Of Real Life Taxidermy In Leonardtown, Md

Let me start by stating I understand we all have a different opinion when it comes to quality and I am by no means a hard person to please.
I just don`t understand how some people do business. I picked up my deer mount from REAL LIFE TAXIDERMY IN LEONARDTOWN, MD
and could not believe the lack of professionalism and quality. The ears were not set or fleshed properly. The nose is mashed in and was cut through during the fleshing process. The chest area has pockets of air between the manikin and the hide. One of the eye`s were cut through also when fleshed. I spent a few hundred dollars to have the deer mounted and I just want to throw it in the trash I am so upset about this I had to share it with everyone in the area thinking of mounting a deer in the southern maryland area. I spoke to the owner at REAL LIFE TAXIDERMY and he stated the mount was
done correctly. WOW, if this is right I`d hate to see the wrong way to mount an animal.

Let's see some pics. I had a guy do a shoulder mount ($225) for me about 15 years ago and it sucked. I had 2 mounts done by Bill Hayes ($300) that were outstanding quality (one head was turned the wrong way. he offered to fix it) so I had something to compare it with.

Taxidermy is like gunsmithing. If it is cheap or the turn around time is fast, there is something wrong.

Well, here they are I tried to show the roller coaster ears, destroyed eyes ducts and butchered nose.You be the judge, am I asking too much of this guy. I stopped payment on the check. I`m still out 150.00 but I know in my heart this is just trash work. I am just fed up with people taking advantage of others. If you are`nt going to do something the correct way why do it, I forgot for the money. I just don`t get it he stated he did a hundred plus mounts a year, maybe that was the red flag and I missed it. LIVE AND LEARN I QUESS. If you have the time post a comment and tell me am I the one thats crazy.

Did`nt they seal all his papers so the people could not see he was not a US citizen. I think there is a march coming up to protest just that. The system is set up for the growth of govenment not the people. Some day the sheeple will wake up. Welcome to the nanny state, please take care of me. I would be furious with that work. Taxidermy requires a license I believe and based on that mount, his should be revoked.
Not sure who the proper authorities are for stuff like this, but I'd be looking for them.

I can't believe someone would post this!I'm the owner of Realife Taxidermy.All my customers look at there mounts before they take them.I don't rush anyone out the door,in fact i ask them do the mount/ mounts they are picking up look good to them. If not they woundn't take them. I have worked very hard to built up a good business. I have customers returning to me year after year. Anyone I have ever done work for always sees my work before I take theirs. Whoever this is that posted this picked up the mount from me, so they had to look it over before they took it, why didn't you say something them? I mean come man you know you looked at it hanging on my wall before you took it.Anyways I have a showroom with plenty of mounted animals, that everyone looks at.
