đŸ”„ Ever since his Great Big Hate Speech, Biden has playing around with different formulations of “extreme MAGA Republicans,” trying to find one that doesn’t make him sound like the love child of Grandpa Simpson and Mussolini. Each iteration is weaker than the previous one, with the rhetorical strength wheezing out and the whole thing going flat, like air gushing out of an overinflated colostomy bag. The Former Senator published his latest clarification yesterday:

Having already chucked “semi-fascist,” this time Joe dropped his “threat to democracy” language in favor of the milder version, “taking us backwards.” Going backwards is a lot less alarming than facing a “threat to democracy.” In many ways, backwards would be a relief for a lot of people.

Anyway, hopefully all this backtracking reassures people that Joe isn’t about to issue brown shirts to all those 87,000 new IRS agents and send them marching after us.

At least, not yet.

It was easy to see this coming. MAGA Republicans are only Joe’s current “threat of the year.” Last year, what worried Joe the most was the threat of “the unvaccinated.” And you saw how THAT one turned out.

I’ve been thinking we should organize a club or something, for everyone who’s been labeled a threat by the leader of the greatest superpower on planet Earth. As for me, I’m a repeat offender, a DOUBLE threat. I should at least get some badges or something. What do you think?

Democrats have claimed after the 2016 that former President Trump was an illegitimate president and also claimed Stacey Abrams had been denied her status as the rightful governor of Georgia.

Shapiro noted the division among Democrats. “This provides some weird sort of crosscurrents for Democrats,” he noted. “You see a sort of bizarre mix of Democrats doubling down on, ‘Yeah, those elections were stolen’ and also trying to slowly walk back like Homer Simpson into the bushes their old positions about elections being stolen.”

Starting with the doubling-down on stolen elections, Shapiro played a clip of The View’s Whoopi Goldberg speaking about White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre, who had tweeted in 2020 that Stacey Abrams was the rightful governor of Georgia.

Goldberg defended Jean-Pierre, saying, “She was doing her part as an American citizen, saying how she felt about an election, whether you like it or not. Everybody talks about everybody has the right to freedom of speech. So that’s the difference.”

“Does Whoopi feel that way about all of the private citizens who believe that Trump won the 2020 election?” Shapiro asked rhetorically.

Speaking of Badges. for Conservatives I have all of the badges from Facebook and even one from Free Republic. I got decorated many times from facebook and Free Republic banned me forever during the George Floyd episode . I carry them all with pride.
