I knew that when I walked in the voting booth.

This whole mess reminds of when something goes completely sidewise at work. We had a "come to Jesus meeting." Basically all the cards were on the table. Titles were left at the door. All wounds were lanced and scrubbed out. Problems were complete dissected and a path forward was determined. We stepped out smartly and got things done. I worked at another place that said we were going to get to the bottom of a set of problems. I went into that meeting and shared my thoughts and issues. Then I found out that this wasn't really to clear the air. It was to pack dirt on top of the problem and we were supposed to suck it up. The organization never completely recovered - until leadership changed. Isn't that where we are now? We need to get to the bottom of the crap including fraud, waste, and abuse. DoD has been catching it for years over expensive hammers and such. I would much rather buy a specialized tool than fund a DEI opera in a foreign country.
