Big-bike tires?

So I'm buying the FLHTC dresser. It needs both tires. Seeing how its been over 10 years since I sold my last dresser and had no 'big' bike since...I've no idea what the current favorite flavor of the year is for new shoes.

Suggestions?

I use Bridgestone Exedras. The strat eats em up, 3500, tops. However, they do what a bike tire is supposed to do; stick.

I'm a decidedly low-miles-per-year rider anyway...so I value handling performance over longevity. Thanks!

I have been using Dunlops for the past 50 k on my Roadking. No complaints performancewise. I get about 15k out of the rear and 30k on the fronts. I am not riding on bologna skins when I change them either. Metzlers (hope I spelled thay right) have been given good reviews by friends.

Thanks! And hey....I have not seen any rides announced yet except a couple on AA-HD's web site. You usually know what's coming up. ? :buddies:

The Charlotte Hall Veteran's Home Poker Run will be on August 11th. Save the date. This will be the 10th annual for the event. Planning has been ongoing and we are hoping to make this the best ever. I will post the info when it is finalized.

I ended up going with Metzlers..

Used to ride on Metzlers until Bridgestone came out with dual and triple compound tires. Had an issue fronts slipping out in the wet, totally lost confidence with them

Dunlops never got more than 5000 miles out of a set, but with your choice of ride you probably won't worry to much about aggressive leaning or high speed performance..

Pilot Road 2 or 3... And try bikebandit.com for prices..

Serge at Performance Cycle, or Motovations will mount amd balance for about $40 a tire.

If I drag a pipe I got SERIOUS problems....

One of the instructors had an OLD yamaha at the ERC, EVERY corner she was draggin. I got scolded for being too aggressive on the course and I told them I'm just trying to scrape something like she did.
