Big White Bunny been hangin' round

For the last three nights... I've come home to find a big, well-fed white bunny rabbit in my front yard. His ears and paws are black... he kinda has the same coloring as a Siamese cat.

And he's big! And not (overly) scared of my presence.

He lets me get within about 20 feet of him before he hops away, and usually he just hops a little ways and stops, looking at me.

I'm guessing he's a lost or released pet, and if anyone wants to try and catch him, PM me. The reason I think he's a pet is because

A) I've never seen a white rabbit in the wild, except for the ones you see on TV in polar regions.
B) He's obviously been well-fed.
C) He's not completely frightened when I see him.

AC/DC

Lord, I apologize.

1. Arctic hares are around here.

2. Yep, it's a pet.

3. Not a very smart one at that............it does tell you that you don't have any predators there or he would have been lunch by now.

Appy... any ideas on how to catch him?
If you can help me catch him, maybe I can find a good home for him, or at least give him to a local shelter.

I don't know how you catch a regular rabbit, but I know how you catch a unique one -- unique up on it.
You catch a tame rabbit the tame way... unique up on it...

There's also a lady, Carol Van Wie, who used to do rabbit rescue. She lives off of Coster Road. Maybe same person as BunnyMagic  I'll look around when I have more time.

It is... she's listed on the contact page of that link you gave me.
She didn't answer the phone and didn't have an answering machine, so I emailed her.

Sleuth, keep trying. She's really busy but loves the bunnies and I'm sure she can help. She's a little "different."

I adopted a rabbit from her years ago for my niece. She had many, many rabbits and was just a wonderful person. :yay:

Put one of these in your front yard

When you hear the distinctive "clink" sound, you can go out front, and extract him from the trap, and give him back to the children who kept him as a pet.

Then you will have done a good deed.
