FYI everyone... Carole from BunnyMagic emailed me and asked me to call her if I see the bunny tonight. She will come out and attempt to use nets to capture it.

I'll let y'all know how it goes.. if it goes...

Alice should have never done that that is what happens when our curiosity gets the best of us.

I love that movie by the way, but my son thinks it is too girly now.

Marlin Perkins on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom used a huge net, with rockets attached. When Marlin gave the signal Jim Fowler flipped a switch and the rockets fired and took the net over an entire tree full of monkeys. I bet if you had rockets and a net you could catch the bunny.

You might also try Jefferson Airplane music. I think it draws rabbits.

Update: Like clockwork, the bunny came out at about dusk.
Unfortunately, the timing made it quite difficult to catch. The bunny lady showed up and brought some "butterfly" nets to try to catch it with, and we were able to get within about 15 feet.

We could have used a 3rd person to trap the bunny in a triangle, but with only 2 of us... it was able to escape into the woods.

Hopefully, it'll still be here in the morning, like it was a couple days ago, and I can make another attempt when the sun comes up.

15 feet,Should be easy to catch,Myself I would just use my Tranc gun on it,Knock it out,take it inside,so not to get cold,and in a hour or two,it springs back to life and as refreshed as it was before tranc'ed.But trying to net them is very fun,and amusing to watch,Good luck.

I think this bunny is laughing at me.

He showed up again earlier this evening, so I spent about an hour trying to catch him with a net. He just kept making me follow him all around the yard over and over.

So I finally give up, figuring I've spooked him enough. I get in my truck, leave to go have dinner with some friends, come back, and he's waiting for me, watching me off from the edge of the yard.

I think he thinks he's smarter than me...
And he may be right.

Wish he'd come out in daylight so I could see a little better.

I gotta think of a way to trap him.
