Anybody know what's going on? My friend works right around there, and said there were Channel 4 choppers and everthing over there. I turned on Channel 4, but no news right now. She checked the internet, and couldn't find anything. Anybody here know?

I hear the choppers (I work a few buildings down from there) but I have no clue what is going on... there are no sirens or anything :shrug:

just came thru there. deputies have yellow tape sealing off the building
and a north american moving semi parked at the front door.

Now Thats funny !!! They are removing the slots. There was a big trailor there taking them out. But why NEWS 4?? Seems like there may be more to it. They even closed Bingo it seems.

Oh geez. They cant report on the real crime around here but jump on the slots being taken out. What a bunch of weenies.

For some reason the slots are big news in Maryland. Gee, could it be because they're supposed to be illegal? The "charity" cover - where a goodly portion of the proceeds goes to charity - had been talked about for months and they decided it wasn't good enough. It wasn't long ago that bingo itself almost disappeared. I wonder if there are choppers and news crews at the Brass Rail covering the removal of those that benefitted Little Flower.

There was when they were removed about a month ago. It was covered by all the news channels, 4, 5, 7 and 9.

I never get to see the local news. :lol: I knew there was a huge writeup in the Emptyprize and Mr. McKay's paper about whethere they should stay. I didn't pay much attention after that.
