I think I recall seeing your sister walking great mills boulevard.
Nah, she gave that up after your daughter taught her about the cone-life.

We have a BJ's membership, and we just picked up a Costco membership, too.

I love the convenience of buying in bulk, because, well.....that's who I am and what I do. 😊

I hate these places because it is so hard to come out of there under $400. :nomoney:

I don't compare prices, but I definitely should. We spend far too much money on food.
Come out under 400 have you tried Giant food

Anyone notice the 40th anniversary shirts the employees are wearing?

I see a big 40 BJ's and cant help but think "in a row?" Ala the classic line from the movie Clerks.

We belong to BJ's but it chaps my a$$ to have to pay for a membership AND clip coupons to "save" money. The coupon cycles are pretty predictable but I wish they didn't add that extra layer of work. Just keep the prices low from jump.
End of rant.

Trick: When your subscription is about to expire, stock up and let it run out. If you've been a member for a while, you'll eventually get "We want you back!" messages with discounts. For the past few years, I've only paid $25 to renew.

Also check the blue packet of coupons that come in the mail, sometimes there's a discount membership coupon in there.

The renewals all come with mandatory automatic renewal at the full price. Go ahead and allow it, but during the year just go to the desk and request they remove the auto refill.

Most places "clip" the coupon into your account, so like when I go to Fresh Market I enter my phone number at the checkout and automatically get the coupon deducted. Doesn't BJ's do that?

But yeah, I don't see the point of coupons in this day and age.

BJs has additional ones, either in the mailers or on their app. I get FF's point though. At least BJs allows me to "clip" them on an app. Like hell, I'm physically cutting coupons out in 2025. When I know I'm due for a trip, I just browse the coupons and add them, and they're automatically added when I check out.

I have a Costco membership too (only make it up there 3-4x a year) but they don't do coupons, it's all just automatically "clipped" with your membership.

If I was closer to Costco, I wouldn't bother with BJs but it does come in handy. I like the place, but Costco legit has so much more, and lots of their kirkland brand is such good quality. Back when my son needed them, diapers alone were worth it. I could at least have those delivered though.

I'm pretty happy with Sam's Club. They have the stuff I use a lot of and it makes sense to buy in bulk. When I lived in Frederick with a family of 6 we had Costco and it was my regular grocery shopping. But I couldn't take the kids, otherwise I'd have a separate cart filled with junk and snacks. :jet:

100%. I very much prefer to do ALL grocery shopping ...ALONE. Much cheaper, and less stressful that way.

On a bright note, I put gas in my car today and It was under $3 a gallon.
FWIW, I don't and won't use an app for coupons from any of the stores. I'm challenged enough :lmao:

The one day I actually forgot my phone at home and had to go get snacks for the geedunk at BJs, I brought it to the attention of one of the check out ladies that I didn't have my phone to download the coupons. She went ahead and gave me the discount anyway.
