I bitch and cry when I get cheated out of what I voted for.
I voted Trump in 2020 and was cheated.
I really feel I will get cheated again in 2024,. no matter what Republican is running.

My nightmare is Trump is denied the nomination and runs as an independent. That will fracture the party making a win virtually impossible. With his ego, there is some likelyhood he would do it. The mid-terms are a window to the future.

I don't think that will happen. Trump is smart enough to know he can't win as an independent. The only way I see him doing that is if someone beat him in the primary and he wanted to destroy that person. The party is already fractured. The only question is how much. If Trump wins the nomination, do the people supporting anyone else decide to sit out or vote against him in the general. If they don't support him, he cannot win. Then if he loses the nomination, do his supporters refuse to support the nominee that beat him? If so, republicans can't win again.

It's a civil war in the republican party. And it is everything the democrats have always hoped for.
