Blasphemous Theatre in Indian Head

Well it's nice to know that this is a comfortable forum where someone can express their opinions. I was merely stating how I feel about the show and was wondering if anyone else felt the same. Instead, I get attacked as if I painted signs and stood outside the theatre screaming a diatribe while the public bought their tickets. Hell, maybe I should. It might get a warmer reaction than I have here.

Everyone might as well have. I'm new to these internet forums, but I didn't expect them to be so hostile. . .
I didn't see anyone being hostile to you. Some were sarcastic because they disagree with your POV, but it's not worth getting all upset about.

I'm telling ya ... it's a liberal. :snacks:

"It's" is a "she" if you're referring to me. And what does being liberal or not have to do with this? I'm talking about being able to express my feelings about something I think is inappropriate. Sounds more conservative if you ask me.

Read this whole thing over twice and still haven't seen anyone being hostile towards you. Just different points of view with some :sarcasm: thrown in. I've never seen the movie myself. Doesn't really sound like my kind of movie anyway.

See, if she was conservative, she'd find it more blasphemous to be called a liberal and would have set that record straight immediately. :really:

Well, I tend to find Agnes of God type of entertainment rude as well, and I'm not even a Christian.

It's like if you so much as suggest that global warming is unproven ignorance, the libs start losing their minds. Yet they don't see the big deal with Piss Christ and other slams against religion.

Hypocrisy.

So, I've heard that Agnes of God is the next show at the Black Box Theatre in Indian Head. I want to know if anyone else finds this show as anti-religious and blasphemous as I do. I mean, a nun who gets pregnant and gives birth?!? Am I alone in this?
So it's acceptable (by the churches own actions) for priests to have sex with little boys, but it's blasphemous for a nun to get pregnant?? MAYBE a priest found it more acceptable to actually have sex with a woman then molesting a little boy..

I don't see how I, who is not a Christian, should be forced to obey dogma that is Christian. If I want to make a move, or play or song or go see one, that's my choice, and I shouldn't be stopped from doing so. It's your religion, not mine.

And why is this wrong, but when cartoons come out that people in another religion think are blasphemous, they are told to suck it up.

And somewhere I said child molestation is acceptable? It's one thing to disagree with my opinion on Agnes of God, it's another to put words in my mouth. Please don't.

What is your opinion based on anyway, if you haven't seen it, how do you know its done in a blasphemous way? Besides, what is blasphemous about a nun getting pregnant. If you believe we are all sinners........it probably happens all the time.

Unless you are the church, specifically the Catholic church, nowhere did I say you found it acceptable, although if the church finds it acceptable and you in turn are still a member of the same church, then yes in fact, I'd say you find it acceptable too.

I have no opinion about the play, movie, or book; I haven't seen or read them.

I will say that there are lots of blasphemous actions and materials by many people world wide including nuns getting pregnant and priests molesting children. There are sinners everywhere including every church. Christians are not responsible for the actions of others. We are only responsible for trying to follow Christ with our own actions.

I am far more concerned that Christians do not follow the great commission and proclaim salvation through Jesus for all. I am more concerned that there are too many pew Christians in the pew Sunday morning and cussing watching the game Sunday afternoon.

Welcome. Speak your peace. Ignore any perceived persecution. Those not of the Spirit do not understand, but we must be understanding and forgiving. There are more people not of the Spirit and on the broad way to hell than following the narrow path and entering through the narrow gate.
